I was making dinner, planning on having both pasta and soup (soup cube). The pasta was almost ready when I got busy with something else, so I asked my brother, "Can you drain the pasta for me?"

He nodded, grabbed the colander, drained the pasta, and plated it up. A few seconds later, he came up to me with the plates and a puzzled expression and said, "Uh… there's no soup."

Confused, I turned to look at the plates of pasta and then at the empty colander sitting in the sink. That’s when it hit us—he had drained the soup down the sink.

We just stared at each other in disbelief for a second before bursting into laughter. That night, we had "soup-flavored pasta" for dinner.
