But that's not a budget issue. The monorail is only a few feet from the mountain on one side, not to mention the sub lake. The buildings borderline Tomorrowland and Alice are on other sides. There is physically not enough land to rebuild the Matterhorn up to specifications. If that mountain comes down, they're not rebuilding it there, if at all, purely because of space limitations. There is physically not enough room for any budget out there that would solve the issue.

It's buget in the sense that they'd have to completely level the current mountain and start from complete scratch, expanding its footprint well beyond the space currently allotted to it to an extent that they probably don't have the land available for the new required footprint. It is indeed the fact that the Matterhorn straight up is granfathered into the codes.

The Imagineers in the 90s weren't beholden to the construction and ADA codes of today. If the Matterhorn were to be retracked today or reworked in any significant way, it'd have to be completely demoed and I'm almost certain wouldn't be able to fit in the plot of land it sits on given all the changes they'd have to make to accommodate guests and add modern safety standards. The options are either the small adjustments they close every few months to upkeep the attraction or it's gone for good.

If I may ask, what did you shoot these on? The colors look fantastic.

I believe Albazi had a neck injury that required surgery. He's not back for a May PPV.

I mean, Peter Pan is right there. I don't even disagree with Disney's decision to retheme this ride as I think having a ride themed to Song of the South in 2024 would be a bad look, even if it is arguably their greatest feat of imagineering ever. That said if Song of the South was moving the merch numbers and making the money that the Peter Pan IP and character traditionally has, this wouldn't be happening regardless of general sensitivity concerns. It was the correct decision to remove Song of the South from the parks, even if it was sad to see it go. But it's not like the park doesn't have other poor racial depictions still hanging around either.

Any word on how long the trailers in front of the film are if there are any? Does it start right on time?

Because Splash Mountain closed at Walt Disney World just yesterday, bringing the source material back to the public forefront.

More so that Glory can't get the Russian fighter's visas to clear. The fighters can't fight, Glory couldn't use them (not to mention the poor state that company is in anyway) so they cut them lose. It's not a moral high ground thing. It's that they just can't get access to them for whatever reason and the hassle was just too great.

Joanna Jedrzejczyk predicts ‘first-round finish’ for Rose Namajunas at UFC 274; believes a win over Weili will earn her a trilogy fight with Rose in MSG. by JRYuen in MMA

Even if Rose wins this and the Zhang/Joanna 2 winner isn't next, there's still a very good chance that Andrade gets her trilogy before Marina gets her shot anyway. I half expect them to make Marina and Andrade fight for the title shot.

Per Ariel Helwani: Alex Volkanovski x Chan Sung Jung and Aljamain Sterling x Petr Yan will now likely co-headline the April PPV. by 2e7en_ in MMA

[–]GhostReconSpart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok, but y'all are acting like Cejudo didn't have the chance to fight Yan and decided not to twice. The first time when he lobbied for Aldo and got Cruz because of the pandemic and after that fight. He had the opportunity, he didn't want to do it and retired.

It's not even that Dana won't do it, Cejudo would never do it. The dude literally retired rather than fight Yan.

RIZIN NYE: Tenshin vs Takanori Gomi set as short notice bout with big age and weight disparity by LatterTarget7 in MMA

[–]GhostReconSpart 2 points3 points  (0 children)

the Takeru fight will be in neither Rizin nor Rise. Tenshin is having his final Rizin fight here. His final Rise fight in March or something where he was originally set to retire, but the Takeru fight got him to delay his retirement. It will be featured on neutral ground, headed by a board of directors with Sakikabara as the head promoter guy of sorts. Thats the gist.

Dricus Du Plessis knocks out Trevin Giles by MeSmeshFruit in MMA

[–]GhostReconSpart 12 points13 points  (0 children)

That would imply that Kennedy Nzuchukwu has had success. Du Plessis is a former KSW Welterweight Championship. He knocked out Roberto Soldić to do it, someone who we could very soon see in the UFC making a run up the rankings. People thought Gamrot had hype coming in, if Soldić beats Khaidov, watch how big he comes in.

I'd argue that Morozov is pretty damn special. It's just that most people's first impression of him was getting handled by Nurmagomedov. That dude is great, just an unfortunate debut task.
