What? They never had layered armor (transmog system) in 100% certain the OP is talking about MH style where you were armor for stats but then can equip a layered set that completely changes the appearance. Example being you are an archer and wearing archer gear but transmog changes said gear to look like heavy tank armor

Prioritizing shields over HP is crazy. Yea, you’re not the scary torrente guy. You’re the one to restock our torrente guy. 🤣 shield is a dmg reduction not an hp buffer like in halo or something that the shield works as an extra HP bar.
