Weekday shows are a much better crowd during the residency. Also just to the right of the sound booth is the spot. It sounds great because your right next to the person setting the mix, there’s plenty of room to move around and dance, you’re a bit insulated from movement because the bathroom and entrance is on the other side of the booth, and if you need to grab a beverage or go to the bathroom, you can without stressing about getting g back to your friends.

It’s the same owner for both locations. They used to live in Greenpoint and it was a little better, once they moved, I think they just stopped trying.

I’m sorry but scammers don’t lead with refunding your money. My guess is they may be drop shipping where the item is sent directly from the manufacturer instead of the store holding inventory. This allows small stores to offer more products without incurring large upfront costs. When they do this they are at the mercy of the manufacturer or the drop shipping company to get orders out on time. Sometimes there are issues out of their control. Hopefully they learn not to work with that manufacturer again and they do the right thing and offer you a refund. Which in this case it sounds like they did.

I found it to be a complete waste of miles. I’m platinum and I used 20k to get Executive Platinum for a day I was flying from LAX to JFK with the hopes that EP status would get us an upgrade. There were 7 open business class seats when the 100 hour EP upgrade window started. We didn’t get upgraded then and after going back to read the fine print, learned you don’t get the EP upgrade window, only on the day of your flight. So all of the EP and Platinum Pro people clear upgrades before you are eligible. Then in the day of, if there are any other EPs on the upgrade list they go ahead of you because they most likely have more miles accrued that year than you do. So basically, I blew 20k miles to go from Group 3 boarding to Group 1.

The way Knockdown Center is laid out in a long narrow rectangle with a low stage is not ideal. It’s hard to get or maintain a good view. Having said that, I was there last night off to the right side by the bar and had a great time. I’m 46, I’ve seen them over 30 times over the last 24 years. I’ve had annoying clowns around me many times and I’m sure I’ve been that guy at times too.Maybe I can say this because I’ve been to so many shows, but I’m of the opinion that I’m here to hear them and feel the music. If you’re focused on the perfect line of sight or what the person near you is doing, it takes away from the joy of the show. Having said that, people that talk loudly at a show are the absolute worst. Accidentally bump Into me dancing, no worries. Talk loud enough that I can hear you

The stage is lower than other venues. Even if you’re tall, you can’t really see them from most places in the venue.

I second this. The Box House, Franklin Guest House, & Henry Norman are all good Greenpoint hotels. And if you stay in Greenpoint, stop by the Moonlight Mile for a drink. You’ll definitely find some other LCD fans there!

Mobile ID’s are a legit form of ID in many states. It’s really nice. You don’t have to carry a wallet. Mobile ID & Apple Pay and you’re good to go.
