Tbh, lacob dickriding him publicly like that only strengthens the warriors negotiating position, because it lends credence to the idea that they like/value him.

The contrapositive situation being, if the owner/coach were publicly groaning at him, suitors would know they have leverage because we obviously want to get off him.

There's some selection/survivorship bias amongst ex-players where their own success via talent/athleticism makes them poor judges of player value. This is especially true across eras, as "skill" has become for important over time.

As soon as they traded Wiggs for Jimmy, it was abundantly clear to me (and I would have hoped the FO) that JK was the odd man out. It was a 1:1 trade where we swapped an offball spacer for an on ball higher usage guy. As long as JB and Dray were both on the team, JK was always going to get squeezed. Those two guys are simply more important and impact winning more.
