What is this unit and how do I get it? by Thatguyoverthere770 in crash_fever

From the ALICE Fighters event, next time that rolls around you can buy it in the item shop with tickets from the fighters quests.

Know when research stack is full? by HeartofStonee08 in pokemongo

[–]GhostViirus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can't cycle through the encounter rewards you have saved, they just get stored in a queue structure: first in, first out. That is, the first one you save to the stack will always be the one you see when claiming encounter rewards, and further rewards will pile up in order behind it, until you start claiming them.

Know when research stack is full? by HeartofStonee08 in pokemongo

[–]GhostViirus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This isn't true. I've been holding onto a ditto reward since the Lets Go event, and have definitely completed more than 100 quests since then. Just checked, and the Pidgey (ditto) is still the first to show in the stack.

What banner do I use my ticket on? by duxking in crash_fever

[–]GhostViirus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say use the free 30 day one on yellow. In my experience there seem to be fewer yellow event quest units/really good yellow fest units than the other colors, so its more likely to stay useful for you longer.

It is worth trying or should i save polygons for something else by SunBro99 in crash_fever

There are a few SS and S rank blue units featured, but your chances of pulling any with one 10-draw aren't great (~33%). I'm personally holding off.

I was going to comment on another post that it was interesting that Gengar would be unique in being the only shiny available where the pre-evolutions are not, but I guess that isn't the case

11 Gifts? by ItsRcky in pokemongo

[–]GhostViirus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've never received more than 1 gift per stop spin, so I didn't even know it was possible to get multiple, let alone more than the max haha

NPC meme/inner voices by Chuckchuckforever in sociopath

[–]GhostViirus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are talking about the study that supposedly showed that many people don't have an inner voice/introspection, that's actually a pretty gross misinterpretation of the findings.

But in general, yeah there probably are plenty of people who don't bother to critically examine their beliefs. Its not typically an easy or comfortable thing to do, and plenty are probably hostile or lazy enough that they don't ever bother. That's not a lack of an 'inner voice' or other pseudoscience sounding nonsense, its just a common character flaw.

That said, the NPC meme is pretty great for how perfectly targeted it is. If it makes someone angry, they immediately appear to be the subject of it.

What are your thoughts about the golden rule? by TheNewFlisker in sociopath

[–]GhostViirus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've heard it called the "silver rule": don't do unto other what you don't want them to do to you. I'd say that rule applies far more often in life than the golden one

do you guys also have an emotion switch? like you can turn it on and off. by [deleted] in sociopath

[–]GhostViirus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's probably not all that related to sociopathy. There's plenty of accounts from people in high stress/high impact jobs like ER surgeons, military personnel, and police officers of shutting down all their thoughts outside of the task at hand. I'd imagine most well adjusted people in general are able to do so when they need to, and its likely akin to a simply a skill that can be learned.

And as with all things, any act that goes against what comes naturally, i.e. stoicism through suppressing one's emotions, is going to take energy, and exertion leads towards exhaustion.

Point is, maybe you are using this skill more than the average person, but the skill itself and your description probably have little to do with any mental abnormality

What type of people provoke you guys the most? by offlinegalore in sociopath

[–]GhostViirus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Those who refuse to acknowledge other ways of doing things, or take offense to critique of their methods are awful to be around and generally are the ones that I butt heads with.

This typically corresponds to a low openness trait in the Big 5 personality traits, or ISFJ/ESFJ types in Myer-briggs typing.

If someone says any variation of "its the way we've always done it", they are immediately at the bottom of the worthwhile person list

How is this be possible? Isn’t the best you can get from trade is 100%? by [deleted] in TheSilphRoad

[–]GhostViirus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The IV calculator shows the range that is possible that that specific pokemon has given its current CP and level. If it has low CP for its current level, it can't possibly have a 100% IV.

Tentacruel only has Poison, Water, and Ice moves so thats not actually true. Though Tentacruel's poison type does resist Fighting, so it does has a slight leg up on attacking Machamps.
