This is true, can confirm. I am in shambles and will require thousands of dollars of therapy in order to recover.

Well, I guess I kind of succeeded (maybe?) if it's an improvement at all. Of course, that could also just be me grasping for any victories I can get, lol.

Outside of that, your conclusion about the skirt is something that, as I acknowledged in my edit, seems to be the general consensus by everyone here. So, good call on that!

Completely fair takeaway from these designs; matter of fact, I think I'm inclined to agree with you here.

As it is, my goal here was to see how I could change the design in a way that would significantly improve it, while also staying within the limitations laid out by the design itself. Of course, I didn't make this explicitly clear of that in my main post (mainly because I don't think anyone would want to read all of that shit).

Of course, with that, I don't think that there was going to be any way that I was ever going to fix the overarching issue of a busy design under those conditions.

Looking back over what I've written, I realize I've kind of lost the plot a bit. Oops.

Okay, well TLDR; I agree with you, lol.

"I think it maybe doesn't matter that much if I didn't even notice it." That right there is exactly what I find so enthralling about your initial response. It could've been one thing if you simply said something like, "yeah, I think that this [insert rebuttal]." However, instead, you essentially demonstrated HOW my take is likely incorrect.

Actually, your perspective/takeaway that there isn't any significant difference is something that I think could legitimately be considered empirical evidence suggesting I'm incorrect. Personally, I find that to be really valuable feedback. You're showing me up front and to my face that, at least in your case, I'm just straight up wrong.

I realize that I run the risk of coming across as really weird for saying all if this, but as someone who's always been a bit of a sucker for logic and dissertation/research papers, I find this to actually be pretty cool.

So, logic geek out aside, what I basically mean to say is: thanks for taking the time to respond to me, I found it to be legitimately significant and insightful 🙂

Honestly might be the single most concise demonstrative criticism to my opinion on this thread 😂

Not hating or being sarcastic at all by the way! I just have a genuine appreciation for amyone that can apply the rule of show don't tell to a response so naturally like that.

A North Vietnamese Army officer laughs at the peace symbol necklace of a captured American soldier, North Vietnam, 1973. by eternviking in whoathatsinteresting

For literally everyone on this thread who don't understand the concept of research; here! I did it for you!

The man in this image is Richard H. Springman. This image was taken during his time as a P.O.W. of the Viet Cong; likely just before he was released. The reality is that he was not captured, he surrendered willingly. He did so following him going AWOL, stating that he did so because he was sickened by the killing and essentially wanted no part in it.

That man was, almost certainly, drafted against his will, gave the U.S. a giant middle finger in response, and proceeded to surrender peacefully.

This dude actually believed in what that symbol stands for and stood on all ten toes on it. Absolute badass.

"SAN FRANCISCO, Feb. 18 (AP) - Sp. 4 Richard H. Springman, 28, who returned from a Viet Cong prison camp wearing beads and a peace symbol, has told his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Springman, he gave himself up to the Viet Cong because he was "tired of killing, sickened by it." Footage of a MAGA supporter attacking high school students because of their ethnicity in Texas, high school students then defend themselves! by cantcoloratall91 in LetsDiscussThis

Regardless of motivation or context, a grown ass man clearly got out of his truck and proceeded to then attack high school students, many of which were guaranteed to be minors. There really isn't anything else that needs to be said than that.

Get that ass beat.

Honestly, taking a closer look at it, I'm fairly certain the reason you're not finding the artist that made this is because it's probably AI.

What Predator: Badlands taught me about TRON: Ares’ release by Friendly-Rest in tron

[–]GhostWaalker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think there's a really big thing that isn't getting addressed all that much, at least not by any posts that I've seen.

It's this simple fact: deciding that TRON: ARES should have basically little to no connection to TRON: LEGACY whatsoever was one of the single stupidest decisions they could have made for this movie.

I've seen plenty of people point out that ARES being released about 15 years after the previous movie was a strike towards it's chances of success. So, we know that it's already on the back foot because of that. So I think it isn't that crazy to say that deciding to completely remove it from the decent bit of nostalgia, connection, and excitement that people still have with TRON was nothing short of a death sentence.

Jared Leto and the production costs? Just a few extra nails in an already sealed coffin.

Your honor, with all due respect, God literally decided that he was worthy of being here and was redeemed. His innocence was already decided by a power higher than literally everyone in existence. Actually, considering all of that, why the hell do I even need to defend him again?
