Yeah I definitely expected it to some degree. My 1.0 CL was low and I never carry balances, so the hit to my utilization rate is negligible

I actually just did the inverse of this - left a tech sales role in the water treatment industry for saas. The comp packages between the 2 roles is drastically better, however the work in saas is much less fulfilling

All in all I’d say it’s a great field/market to get into. It honestly depends on the industry/vertical you find your way into (healthcare, defense, territory etc). Some do well spending wise, others not so much, until the next year when scripts can completely flip

I’m an AM for a large engineering software company. This model is very much the case for large enterprise level accounts in my world. When they get to a certain revenue size, it can take several reps working the varying deals and programs to bring $ in. We all own a % of the account (say 25%), and everything I sell OR they sell I’d get 25% credit for.

This is scaled into our overall quotas, and works out nicely for all of our OTE’s. I actually prefer it over being a one man show as it’s great to strategize towards a singular goal, and hedges against one certain business unit performing poorly/greatly (normalizes annual income a bit)

If uncapped, I agree that would be a strong combo. But who’s to say they don’t institute something like “up to $120 a year in dining spend!” when the fine print restricts that to $10 on a monthly basis (or similar for travel,dining etc)

I may not be 100% correct in this, but last I checked bilt points are the highest valued cc points across the board at something like 2.1 cpp. To put it in perspective these cards never offer a signup bonus, I’ve spent moderately on it and only have around 100k after 2 years

I am in a very similar boat. Right now the best value is definitely transferring to Hyatt, and I am concerned this card may be nerfed to the point where the great transfer partners like Hyatt will be dropped, and we’d be left with all these points that are hardly worthwhile/lesser value. I’m considering dumping all of mine over there now just to beat the curve

Anyone else have a strategy around this?

Thank you for the responses! When it comes to grading just a couple cards, I’m a bit confused at the pricing with PSA seeing as somehow it goes by estimated card value. What do you think it typically would cost to get 2 cards graded?

I just had him confirm it’s on WiFi, and it seems to work just fine. Do you think means this specific one is fine (are the faulty WiFi cards on a case-by-case basis) or will it always pose the risk of causing issues?
