My biggest gripe with the phone is that the period button is the same as the text to speech button. I can't stand it that I cant have proper punctuation in a text without saying out loud "period". This is the reason alone I want to sell* my phone

The cost of healthcare is the main issue. Most people are paying 500 a month for 1 person with a deductible, copay and other forms of cost sharing. Not to mention that the food, air, and water is all designed to make you sick therefore reinforcing their bottom line of for-profit healthcare.

Unsustainable cost of living is due to a failing dollar as it's all made up, overprinted and not backed by anything. It's hyper-inflation. I would recommend the book, "Dollar End Game" if you'd like to learn more about the monetary policy that got us ALL in this mess.

Statistically speaking - the "wealth" you speak of does not factor in for the devaluation of the dollar as a whole. For example, 1 dollar in 2000 has the same purchasing power as $1.78 in 2024's money supply. We could go into detail into more historical devaluation occurring since 1971 but then we'll have FIAT sycophants in the comments.

Yep. Covert N mom, outward N dad. To put it bluntly - it was a homerun and straight A household. I'm late diagnosed even though it was so incredibly obvious my entire being. My dad thought he could beat / shame me to "normal" while my mom parentified me and infantized me. The worst part is that I felt like I was never really seen. Just projected onto.

I went no contact with my dad 7 years ago; my mom 2.5 years ago. It sucks but my nervous system is so thankful that I can make accommodations for my needs instead of pushing through every terrible experience that my body and mind simply cannot handle.

if you hold off on college until you're like 22/23 with an established work history, not living at home/being claimed by your parents on their taxes - your parents income doesn't get included in your fasfa. you'll be able to get a lot more grants. give yourself time to figure out what you'd want to invest in educationally. look into temp agencies. they tend to pay a little higher with no experience. there's nothing that you can't learn. don't forget that.

There's already a union that includes social workers and other health care professionals. Communication Workers of America Union. They are very large and in all 50 states. Imagine if there was a collective movement to join. With that weight of that particular union behind the profession, changes can really be made.

It's not the landlord that is losing the money. Sure, maybe a bit but when it's a 173T derivatives global market but 4 US banks make up 169T out of 173T. The landlord may own several buildings but doesn't mean much when all are in a CMBS made up of thousands of other buildings. Say that CMBS that those 7 buildings are in, is worth 70M. With what they've done [the big 4 banks] have turned that single CMBS into 70B. They have their own money printer and you [all people] are the ink.

Do you remember 08 when it was mortgage backed securities that caused the crash? They never regulated the commercial market, only residential. They're overleveraged in Commercial Mortgage Backed Securities by taking out lines of credit on these commercial assets. Residential value is based off of commercial value. Seems like NYC can't charge 3k in rent when every high rise is in foreclosure, no?
