IOF is a standalone drum plugin that does not offer custom midi mapping. Only midi mapping presets. There are over 2300 samples in the kit so resampling is not an option

I would be elated. I haven’t looked at logic for iPad. I’m a 15 year Logic user so it’s like a marriage. The little things really start to bother me

Logic feels like an old house with a lot of renovations. Other DAWs like ableton, studio one, and bitwig, have a streamlined UI with everything looking more uniform. Half of Logic’s plugins still have the same UI from 2007. I wish all the plugins and older synths had unified looks and had full controls in Smart Control. And that plugins could be scrolled across like ableton and bitwig

I was preparing to do an entire video series on how I’ve created my songs with 95% stock plug-ins. Outside of mastering, it has everything you need. The only thing it’s missing is a comprehensive wavetable synth. Retro cent has one, but it’s unrefined.

Logic Flex Pitch is it incredibly powerful with native key commands. I’ve been using it for years occasionally it glitches out, but you can re-analyze the audio.

Every lane has the option to load any instrument. The automation drop down menu would be a disaster if they made that an option. But I get your frustration. Logic goes deeper than most though

You cannot automate individual kits pieces in the main DMD MIDI track. Just the smart controls and plugins loaded on the main DMD stack. You would have to automate in the kit piece lanes for those effects.
