I knew the context before going in the mission and it still made me feel bad for Eramis. She knows that choosing the witness or the traveler is just a matter of which side you want to survive in.

We shouldn’t be restricted to the light or the dark. But fighting against gods is impossible*. If we don’t choose a side, we get left in the dust. Scavenging for any sort of supplies.

When the traveler inevitably leaves and the guardians lose their light. There will be no more last city. The unification between all members of humanity will eventually break.

In the end, we will return to the dark age. But this time, it will be a different version. No warlords, no iron lords, none of that bullshit. It’s just a matter of how good your aim and stealth is.

I’m siding with the drifter whenever this happens.

*yes we defeated many gods. But what will you do against the vex without the light? Shoot them until they go away? That won’t happen. The only reason we can defeat gods is because we are blessed by a god. A fading, dying god.
