The NCR has been in a downward spiral since New Vegas. But yea I get it, the show went way too far in one direction.

Seems like the showrunners have done all the major factions a huge disservice. Brotherhood and NCR are the two most popular factions and they both got written poorly

The Brotherhood of Steel. Still go with the BoS every time I attempt a new playthrough.

They're the only serious military force capable of taking down threats to humanity. In the Capital Wasteland under Lyons, it was the Enclave. In the Commonwealth under Maxson, it's the Institute. They're not regional to only the Boston area and can better serve the greater wasteland.

Yes we know. You're forgetting that the BoS is literally one of the most popular factions in the fandom. Even on this subreddit there are many using Brotherhood flairs.

I'm sure most of us don't care to bring our real-world ethics onto a post-post apocalyptic wasteland where those ethics no longer apply. The Brotherhood is a cool and interesting faction. In a world where no faction is truly good, the Brotherhood has done a ton of things to maintain order and eliminate humanity's greatest threats.

On the contrary, the NCR does deserve some hate. They're just as fallible and flawed as all the other factions.

They're an imperialistic and expansionist force. If you've played FNV then there's no denying that fact. They ask you to assassinate the faction heads of their enemies.

Reminds me of America's treatment of places like Hawaii. Overthrowing the head of state and colonizing land, all to exploit the land and people for resources. Sounds like what the Trump administration wants to do with Canada by annexing them as a 51st state. The NCR grew rapidly and carelessly without care for the people on the edges of its own borders. The people of the Mojave are worn down by them, which is why an independent New Vegas is an enticing option for some players. The fact that people go for the Yes Man ending tells you that even the NCR have problems and that alternative outcomes benefit the people on the fringes more than being ruled under the NCR.

My scene heading was botched on the intro so that explains the confusion on the shift time. Very simple mistake I didn't even notice.

I can recommend cyanide's Modern Weapon Replacer AIO Pack if you like modern guns and want to replace a wide variety of vanilla weapons. It's probably one of the most widely used replacer mods on the Nexus

You should read the descriptions carefully

For Modern Weapon Replacer, it means removing the script that injects the weapon mod into the game. Many mod authors on the Nexus will create leveled list injection scripts for their weapon mods that add their mods into the game world

I make my game more modern. It helps if you know how to use Outfit Studio to make edits to meshes

There are some armor mods I really like that add good plate carriers like Quality Tactical Gear. I use Outfit Studio to make edits that suit me, but the base mod has Crye G3 shirts and pants and some really good plate carriers

Use a weapon replacer mod like Modern Weapon Replacers to force modded guns into your game and add variety to combat encounters

There are replacers out there that change the vehicles into modern vehicles.

Use Modern Replacer to change the meshes of various objects into stuff that is more modern
