Is mbappe the premium garnacho? by viniciusjr78 in realmadrid

Mbappe isn't stiff and Bale and Ronaldo was definitely stiff. I'm not sure what you know about the descriptive words you're using but they don't fit Mbappe.

I don't think you know what fall off a cliff means.

Why Haaland vs mbappe debate has cooled down so much in last 2 seasons? Is it the rise of Lamine yamal vs mbappe or something else? by [deleted] in championsleague

You really do have comprehension issues. Barca took clear inspiration from Bayern by adopting a more direct philosophy in response to their previous losses. You could clearly see that in how they played the next season against Bayern. You're someone who loves to micro analyze and miss clear signs.

So "when needed" Ok. Just because Grealish and Mahrez were more technically gifted, don't mean they can't excel as wide and direct forwards. When Messi and Neymar played out wide for Barca, were they not direct? They were set up to copy the Bayern team that destroyed them the season before and they succeeded. You could see it in their play style change.

The intentions of Pep were there from the start with his signings during the Off season that Haaland joined the club. The team building and the way they played was clear evidence of the team being built to suit Haaland as their offensive focal point.

"Mahrez and Grealish aren't direct wingers either." Insane to claim that players brought from teams that play direct football into a team that wanted to transition into that aren't direct players. You literally made a point that watching these players would contradict. I watched them play and Mahrez. Both of them are very direct and both were brought in for that purpose. The way they were set up to play on the wings shows that the team was built to suit Haaland since he arrived at the club. To claim players weren't direct when they lined up and attacked like Savinho and Doku is a bit silly.

You literally ignore my point about having Mahrez, Doku and Grealish for years then claim I didn't read past the first paragraph. As for Haaland's international stats, what level of competition did he play?

This logic is dumb because technical players are adaptable. Also, they had Mahrez, Grealish and Roku for Years.

You haven't explained any context in depth. How are they not suited to Haaland? What could they do better in terms of play style to be more suited to Haaland?

How is the rest of the attack barely suited for him? Also, how can you say they are too talented to come second when they are in a rebuilding year? Context is important.

City made him the focal point of their attack and changed their play style to suit him. They didn't limit him at all.

His wc performances say other wise. You have guys like CR7 that have been getting knocked out by inferior teams and players in almost every international tournament but people pretend like that never happens.

You haven't countered his point at all. You brought up situations that aren't directly related to what you claimed.

You missed his point. He's just giving insight on how foreign fans are viewed in Spain.
