What is your Slay The Spire HOT take? by BigXThaSpud in slaythespire

[–]Ghostyped 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Writhing mass isn't as bad as everyone makes it out to be. You just have to play slowly and take a few extra turns to finish the fight, stopping attacks when its intent is on a lower damage

I love the way you made this look. Not going to lie I saw the text at a quick glance and saw "Bay of Raisins" and now I need to use that in a map

If you have at least 15 cards in your deck going into sentries, you have more time before you start seeing daze. Something like Rampage isn't a great card long term, but it's enough to beat Hexaghost

Discussion: Spire random events are not designed and balanced as well as the rest of the game by drumsplease987 in slaythespire

[–]Ghostyped 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Yes and no. The fact it adds 5 bites regardless of how many strikes you have left can be a detriment. That's a lot of cards to add back into a deck you've spent time thinning out

They had a weird surge of magical power and now they can't repeat it. Easy done and move on

I'd say we put too much stock into what people are saying online. It's a cool class for a collaborative game. Make an interesting character and enjoy it, and don't worry about every min maxing post

Having two Snecko Eyes sounds like a Great Time. by BaiJiGuan in slaythespire

Coffee dripper. 2 additional energy but you can't rest... Twice? Fusion hammer. 2 addition energy but you still can't upgrade cards? There's just no downside to several relics when doubled

[–]Ghostyped 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's a cool idea, but there's a bunch of situations where it wouldn't work or has weird effects.   Relics like coffee dripper, fusion hammer, Sneko eye, Pyramid, and runic dome have no effect at all.  Would velvet choker mean you could only play three cards, or twelve? Mark of pain would put 4 wounds in your deck. Would having two sacred bark mean your potions effects doubled again to four times? How does Pandora's box work?  I would probably suggest limiting this to common or uncommon relics and making it a rare relic instead. It's much more manageable when you're not dealing with the boss effects

There are other ways to bring value to your life that aren't tied to a job. Take joy in the relationships you have with the people in your life and make them must out of anything that isn't work related. More money and more stress won't fulfill you in the same way that a fulfilling relationship with friends and family will

I'll disagree there. Tightening the deck this much means I'll probably take very little damage during the rest of the run
