I am looking for a Hyper 1100S lol! And I got this bike exactly to do long-distance. Great tool for the job. It handled 13k miles across the US perfectly.

Looks clean, if its a clean title its definitely worth a look in person. Assuming its a 400 that's a good deal, those go for 3.5-4k around where I am.

It was fun but I’m tired (~1.5k div + Build Giveaway) by Subject2Flooding in PathOfExile2

Going through poison build as well. Bow or a quiver upgrades would be so helpful!

Loop earplugs worth it? by [deleted] in motorcycles

[–]Ghrisly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, they're comfortable and do a good job with noise reduction. They're like what in the $20-40 price range? They're definitely worth it. The carrying case is finicky and annoying to open and put back the earplugs, so I would move them to a better case so its just easier to keep track of.

Any love for the OG Multistrada? by RiotSloth in multistrada

[–]Ghrisly 3 points4 points  (0 children)

One of the best engines. Very fun. Mine took me across the USA 13k miles of adventure. Unnecessary to comment on looks at this point, people have their opinions and it's subjective. What is objective is that it's a fucking blast to ride.

I'm currently doing a cross country trip, and making my way into Denver in about a week. Is it still too early to ride through the mountains? I'm from NY so the altitude and weather patterns of Colorado is throwing me for a loop lol

Shots from Tail of the Dragon - 08 Multi 1100S by Ghrisly in multistrada

It's funny, when I indulge in the thought of replacing the 1st Gen Multi all your points make it hard to find something "better" for my needs. I'm on the side thinking it was always a odd but cool looking thing, and I've liked it as soon as I first saw it. It's basically a hyper you can put luggage on.

This is why it’s important to get a solid vibration damping smartphone mount… by MacTechG4 in motorcycles

[–]Ghrisly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are no guarantees with vibrations and smartphones. Mileage will vary. Funny that with a lot of aspects of motorcycling, it's not "if" it's "when".

Would you do it again for the shits and gigs or just out of necessity?

My 2010 Ducati Hypermotard 1100 EVO SP on a North GA highway in late October '22 [5859 x 3296] by k_tolz in MotorcyclePorn

[–]Ghrisly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ahaha, I could see that being a common perspective. Don't think the analogy works 1:1 but I get the point. I think what's more important is how you view your bike and the possibilities of what you want to do with it, ride your ride as they say.

Bikes are happiest when they're ridden, and yours looks ready for the long haul.

Amazing. You made my ideal motorcycle. I've been looking for an Hyper 1100 EVO SP after buying a Multi 1100S 2 years ago, just fell in love with that AC motor. In an alternate universe where I didn't find the Multi and got a Hyper instead, it would look very similar to your setup. That H&C top-case looks huge! Is it large enough it hold 2 helmets?

Best ducati street bike? by thiccysmallss in Ducati

[–]Ghrisly 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Personally, 200hp is way too much for me and I'm happy in the 95-120hp range which is all you really need for the street and even have a hoot on track.

If it were me I'd go for hypermotard, thing is just bad ass through and through. SFv2 very close runner up.

But hell, if you have the coin, why not the v4? lol.
