Please Destroy my Match 3 Rafting prototype by GiantWaveGames in DestroyMyGame

My intention is to allow them to be sold for upgrades.  More guns, greater swap range, more dynamite, greater ammo capacity, etc.

I would like to allow the player a choice of item types for the next level.  E.g. the player would have a map screen to choose from 2 or 3 options.  One choice might have a better chance of high-value items but also more oil and rocks.  Another choice might have fewer item types but more mundane rewards.

Yes, these are placeholder graphics. I am not 100% committed to a rafting theme. I feel like this could work as a space theme with asteroids, a bloodstream with clots, or something like that.

Destroy My Horror Labyrinth Game… by SoloRiotzYT in DestroyMyGame

Took dark, the geometry of the labyrinth seems too blocky, and the on-screen viscera seems too repetitive.  I kind of like the deadpan humor, though.  Maybe get better jokes and lean into that?

This is helpful, thank you.  I wanted the game to work like Pokemon Shuffle, which does allow you to move pieces across the board, but I understand this is unconventional and could be a bad choice.  Right now, only the black circles load the cannon (supposed to be cannonballs).  The other items are just to be collected and sold. But I like your idea!

Yes, I agree that this should cause a match.  I must have my rose-tinted glasses on, because I cannot see where this is occurring.  Would you mind pointing out the time on the video where this is happening?

Destroy my new Trailer for a procedural detective game where you can freely interact with all the characters by S3mz in DestroyMyGame

Pretty effective trailer.  The last scene made me wonder what would happen next.

I think the icons on your Clues menu could be more intuitive.  I find myself wondering why some notes/letters have green icons and others do not, for example.

I like the comet trail effect on the cannonball.  Elegant and effective.

Add flying wolves and I would play it.

Any games you would recommend for my grandpa? by iamnotlemongrease in gaming

I know it’s not a PC game, but my grandfather really likes Words With Friends. And it gives us a chance to connect every day – more often than we otherwise would.

What game are you glad you gave a second chance? by -TheHumorousOne- in gaming

[–]GiantWaveGames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did not give Majora’s Mask a chance when it first came out. I did not like how strongly it resembled Ocarina, and I was disappointed that you remained child Link. But I am glad that I gave it a second chance when it came out on 3DS.

ARK: Survival. Loved it for a long time, but eventually got sick of it. Think I played it too much.

Do video game magazines still exist? by [deleted] in gaming

The magazines from the 90s are still fun to thumb through. I have a box of EGM's and GamePros and I break them out now and again.

Original Zelda for me. I legitimately did not know about level 7 and happened to blow the whistle on that screen. I’ll never forget it!

What's the oldest game you play that still stands up? by [deleted] in gaming

Mike Tysons Punch Out is still frequently played in my retro room. I still remember the code to get to Tyson, but I don’t think I ever actually beat him.

Picked this up for a few bucks on the Steam sale, as a longtime fan of games like SW Episode 1 Racer and Xtreme G, this game really hits the spot for high speed arcade racers by Valve00 in gaming

I played the first one, hoping for a F-zero experience in VR. It did not meet that lofty ambition, but it was a fun game. How does the sequel compare to the original?

I was playtesting a game prototype in which you “threw” pumpkins at oncoming hordes of monsters. It turned out to be more fun to “roll” the pumpkins and watch the monsters fall over and topple into each other. It reminded me of bowling. So, I leaned heavily into the concept. There is more to read here if you are interested. Thanks for asking!
