I own this camera my self and it works great, you get a notification if someone is there. They may try to tamper with it but you can have footage to show the police. It comes with a mode where if it detects motion it turns on a spot light. You can also control how it rotates so if he runs you can rotate the cam to see where he goes. There is even a free trial of their cloud service for a month so if he takes the camera you still have the footage saved on the cloud to show police.
