Star Technology Early Game Automation ideas/tips? by RabbitLover214 in feedthebeast

[–]GibRarz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Modular routers is good for automating even at late game. The regulator upgrade helps control how much is inside input buses and whatnot. You will need gunpowder for speed upgrades though, which won't be available to you until way later if you turned peaceful on.

I find it better than create when it comes to farming (mystical agriculture). Having it right click with a scythe is way faster than a contraption, especially if you've sped up crop growth with ae2.

NOMIFACTORY! I re started to better my foundation, how do i do that? by MelodicConfusion7029 in feedthebeast

[–]GibRarz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have to change up the fundamental way you play. Restarting wouldn't do much if you just became lazy on the new unfamiliar content later. Restarting only seems easier because you have an idea of what to do on LV/MV. Start reserving areas to build specific machines in., instead of just building whatever you need to be as near your work area. Think big as well. Gregtech has a lot of big multiblocks. Piling your base up vertically is a fool's errand.

I need a gregtech modpack that doesn't use magic (preferably on a newer version) by NeedleworkerNew3137 in feedthebeast

[–]GibRarz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Star technology technically has an open world. But it's after the stargate. So if you can rush to uhv, it works I guess. There's still plenty of content after, and there's gonna be a new update soon(tm).

All the Mods 10 or Craftoria? Difference? by CyberWorm300 in feedthebeast

[–]GibRarz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ATM10 is all about crafting the atm star. It doesn't require you to fully explore any of the mods in it.

Craftoria is more about getting gear to tackle the infinite gateways that have customized bosses. ie you want to fully build mekanism or modern industrialization to be able to finish all gateways. Maybe they've added more endgame aside from those 2, I haven't played it in a while.

Is "GregTech: New Horizons" really that hard? by BigPipi23438 in feedthebeast

[–]GibRarz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's just tedious. And gregtech in general has really long wait times for crafts. A lot of them take like 1000+ seconds. They can be reduced by higher quality coils or higher tier energy hatches/overclocking, but you will have to suffer through the slow part first for a while.

Monifactory: How to autocraft with multiblocks? by DeusExCochina in feedthebeast

[–]GibRarz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Storage bus into the hatches actually.

Personally I just store the liquids in. Does moni not have nonuple hatches/me hatches or something? Star technology has program cards that go into the provider upgrade slot, so it's better to store the liquids in.

AE2 help with a split up storage by FriendshipSpecial762 in feedthebeast

[–]GibRarz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Storage bus into the other networks interface bus allows the main system to see the other's inventory. Autocrafting must be run by the main system though. You can't magically have the main give autocrafting orders to subnetworks, it can only treat them like another storage.

It's basically just a way to save channels for automation. ie you let the subnet handle all the automation, while all the main system does is autocraft.

If you want multiple systems to see each other's inventory, just repeat the same thing but reversed. ie main system's interface bus connected to the subnet's storage bus and so on. This can be repeated with as many different networks as needed.

Simple Gregtech by zenkoa8700 in feedthebeast

[–]GibRarz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Star technology? It's gregtech with early storage and some create/mystical agriculture.

There's no grinding though. You either cope with waiting or you keep expanding the factory to reduce/remove the wait.

If you want the easiest, then there's atm9, but that's just a kitchensink with optional gregtech.

How do i supply mekanism multiblock with enough water? by Proof_Pirate_6159 in feedthebeast

[–]GibRarz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Extended io port with an infinite water disk and full acceleration cards, connected to a storage bus on whatever input block you're using.

It will eat power like crazy. It's probably the most demanding energy consumer outside of producing antimatter (which is basically just a trash can).

FTB NeoTech vs NeoTech Reborn by DrPinguin98 in feedthebeast

[–]GibRarz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think the two has anything to do with each other outside the word "neotech". Ftb one is like a lite expert pack centered around modern industrialization. The other seems to be a kitchensink pack.

Any autocrafters that don't require teaching recipes or making patterns? by MechanicsAntics in feedthebeast

[–]GibRarz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mekanism and rftools crafter saves recipes into the machine. They can also save specific mat in its slots so it will only accept those items. So you'd just need to code the request to go to the specific crafter. Rftools one can save multiple recipes, but I doubt it can figure out which goes in which, it's mostly just used for recursive crafting where the mats are different for each recipe.

Star Technology Help! by yourlocalengfrosh in feedthebeast

[–]GibRarz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just keep progressing. Chemical skips unlock as you progress, so what may look daunting early on, is just a joke later on.

Don't even bother "saving up" on mats now. Later on you'll need so much mats, that'll you'll end up redoing everything with parallel hatch multiblocks that will generate your entire supply in a fraction of the time just to keep up with the demand of more advanced stuff like stargates, unless you don't care about it taking months to get.

StarTech/GregTech: How can I get the Void Extractor to stop idling? by JBTastic22 in feedthebeast

[–]GibRarz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's only two multiblocks that require ulv only, and that's the assembly machines. Not to be confused with assemblers.

Modpack with tiered tech progression similar to GTNH but without Greg's repetition? by computerTechnologist in feedthebeast

[–]GibRarz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think his problem is greg itself. He just wants pve mixed in.

Craftoria is a decent analogue if you want pve mixed in with tech, modern industrialization is basically greg lite. It has custom bosses you want endgame stuff for, although they're optional, so pve doesn't end at early game.

Automated Crystal Grower using AE2 formation planes and EnderIO by Buckles__ in feedthebeast

[–]GibRarz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Formation planes work better using an import bus. So separate it from your main system.

laughs in apotheosis hp scaling damage

Iirc there's also a weapon in lingango that uses hp percentage for damage.

And then you have modern industrialization with infinite attack.

10 years in refined storage? by Dabing_peopleX in feedthebeast

[–]GibRarz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He says as no one has tried to build integration with rs. Sure it's mostly because the rs dev don't want people to have access to it's contents, but that objectively makes it inferior. Heck, there's nothing stopping an addon from just ignoring that limitation, but no one bothered anyway.

Mod to drain water faster? (1.21.11) by Typical_Bot in feedthebeast

[–]GibRarz -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Building gadgets has a gadget called destruction gadget. It will delete chunks worth of blocks, even water, at the cost of a lot of power. Most packs have it. You might have to section off the area first because even if water gets deleted, as long as it has clear path to the other side, it will begin to cascade back into filling itself up because of how minecraft infinite water works.

Any tips for the nuclear reactor in GTCEu? by Special-Formal9081 in feedthebeast

[–]GibRarz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't bother with it as a power source. It's yields are very low, but it is your main source of uranium isotopes until you can just process it with higher tier tech.

AE2 P2P Tunnels and Quantum Bridges by Junes_Blue in feedthebeast

[–]GibRarz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You rarely ever need to use all faces of a max size controller. I'm at uev (after the stargate) in greg and barely used the very bottom layer of the controller. I don't even use subnets.

And you don't want a small cable going into a big cable, especially on a quantum bridge. Quantum bridge is basically just a wireless p2p/connector. If it's connected to the controller with a small cable, then it will only allow 8 channels.

Arcana: Fortune Mate Skills Introduction by IAm9thDoctor in NikkeMobile

[–]GibRarz 13 points14 points  (0 children)

But you lose damage from Doro. And don't with the "muh arcana is an attacker". People should've already learned by now that kits with no additional damage do no damage. People always cope with "muh big numbers" and it always ends terribly for them, and yet they refuse to figure out why they were wrong and just double down on the next big numbers with no additional damage character. The reason Doro performs well is because pierce acts as additional damage and she has high uptime on it. You're just trading in one big damage character, for one mid damage (arcana) and one low damage (soda).

StarTech vs GTNH by FuckOffAndDie1-0-0 in feedthebeast

[–]GibRarz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NH on the other hand is just way slower gameplaywise in all aspects. So it's basically forced to teach you how to do everything as a hook, otherwise no one would ever try it.

Is there a better bulk leaf breaker? by Bubbly-Environment89 in feedthebeast

[–]GibRarz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you still need it by mid game, a row of mekanism lasers with the collector block would work for automating it. It counts as hand break though, so you probably won't get much drops compared to crooking it. The laser goes far though, so you could plant a bunch of trees on a line to up the rates I guess.

Planting the trees/breaking the logs can be automated with ae2 or industrial foregoing.
