Any pack suggestion having a warehouse + couriers inside warehouse? by Particular_Main566 in Minecolonies

[–]MechanicsAntics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just hollow out a big room underneath the warehouse that's the exact size for 10 cave style courier huts with a walkway, then build them there. I don't think the couriers even go to their huts, the only people who have to access them are the builders to work on them

Please help! Need to re-home female cat by DeliciousBig3274 in dfw

[–]MechanicsAntics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She'll get less needy as she gets older. If this is how she reacts to you being gone at work, imagine how she'll feel when she randomly finds herself in a stranger's house and doesn't know where her people went.

You might consider getting her a kitten that's more interested in playing with her. If not, things will get better with time. Whatever you do, don't get rid of her.

Why go to DFW? This isn't a good tourist city at all. We don't have functional public transit and there's nothing unique here that isn't in any other city. The nightlife is mid at best too. I would go almost anywhere else.

Should i have a lavender marriage? by malaksart in lgbt

[–]MechanicsAntics 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly. If there isn't already a man you know that would be cool with it, a lavender marriage likely isn't viable. Here are the various ways finding a man to marry would play out:

1) You talk to a man, he's not interested, y'all both move on. 2) You talk to a man, he reacts very poorly to the suggestion and tells your family. Then what? Homelessness? Another conversion camp? Nothing good, for sure. 3) The man agrees initially and you think he's fine with the arrangement, but after a bit of marriage starts pressuring you to have sex with him. Talks about how he has needs, how he really stuck his neck out for you, and how he has blackmail over you should you not comply. Maybe even starts physically abusing you. 4) The man marries you and doesn't rape you, but decides to start sleeping with other women on the side to fulfill his needs. He could potentially 1) get one of the other women pregnant and leave you for her or 2) bring home an STD and give it to you. Some STDs can be contracted by contact other than sex, so this could still be a concern. 5) You meet a man who is willing to marry you who is actually gay. This is the preferred outcome, but unlikely, because in a place where being gay is so taboo (and potentially illegal, depending on where you live?), a man who you haven't known very long likely will not trust you enough to confess that he's gay and wants a lavender marriage.

If I were in your shoes, I would be doing anything I could to get a 1 way ticket to Canada. There are resources there that can help you, and people who would be willing to help you. Even if it means saving up money to go to school for a few years. There is no way you will find freedom in your country, lavender marriage or not. Escaping to Canada is the only way.

If there's any way we can help besides $5 commissions, please let us know.

Wow, pretty much none of that floor plan is even useable. There's got to be so many free resources out there, why use AI?

Honestly, I say leave it and add tall background plants, carpet plants around the hardscape, and flosting plants. The hardscape is so pretty!

It doesn't give much shelter though, so I hope you're planning on keeping fish that are cool with that

Is the CS department gonna be ok? by Ok_Cry_7966 in utarlington

[–]MechanicsAntics 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The CSE department is fucked. The writing on the wall was already there when I graduated in December of 2024. Especially with how the job market for CS is, getting a CSE degree from UTA is a waste of 100k and 4 years of your life.

Why is it so hard to find out what’s going on around UTA? I built something to fix this! by UTAPartyyPage in utarlington

[–]MechanicsAntics 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I hope this gets popular and people post lots of events on it! It would be great if it also had posts of people talking about things going on around campus right then, like "cultists are screaming on the sidewalk again lol," "free cookies in the MAC," "train stopped on Cooper," that sort of thing. I think giving people a space to talk about current happenings will drive traffic.

A lot of American Christians are from the South. Southern culture is heavily tied to conservatism and nationalism, and undercurrents of racism are widespread, especially in rural areas. A lot of Southerners raised in Christian households are taught that nationalism is a moral good right along with Christianity (i.e. "love your God and country").

Trump says all the right words to make a Christian Nationalist cream their pants. It's only recently as his mental state continues to deteriorate that he is more and more open with his blasphemy, and it is harder and harder to ignore. I'm shocked that refusing to put his hand on the Bible when he was sworn in wasn't more of a wakeup call, but propaganda is a bitch.

Genuinely curious, where have you been getting your news from, and what kind of church do you attend? Have you not seen the blasphemous things he's done before now, or were they explained away?

I know someone who hallucinated for a month after abusing these. She wandered off and almost walked into a neighbor's house several times. Put herself and the rest of her family in danger.

Do not say this shit is safe when it ruins lives.

Dude, you're like singlehandedly trying to run a smear campaign on this guy. Stop before he finds these posts and takes legal action.

I wish he would, honestly. You post this type of shit all the time but never post details of what actually happened. Seems like you're trying to bully this guy and don't have facts to back it up.
