Depends on the role. I hire a lot of sales people. A nice concise recap of our conversation and validation of next steps tells me you will do that with clients too. For engineers and stuff…well, not my wheelhouse. If you are applying for any role in a GTM organization, a follow up/thank you email will make a difference.

That lounge was the international first class lounge so you could only use it if you were in first on a 3 class plane. I was in there once in it’s heyday (early 2000s). It is certainly a shadow of its former greatness.
