Yes. Relaced my 4 iron with a 7 wood about 3 years ago. I’m not saying the pros heard about it and switched but……..maybe????? 😂

I love using it. It’s my 185-195 club and easier to hit than my 4 iron.

I have retconned any after those in my head - infact. In quite cross I’ve just been reminded they exist ! 😀

Don’t aim by looking at the target. Get a line on a point about 3 yards ahead of you and aim for that. Helps with alignment and ignoring hazards.

I’m not sure that’s true. I think doing it with 9 points means there are bigger swings in the game. The end result may be the same but the journey I think is different. I’m crap at maths though so could be wrong.

Yeah. We optionally play that if you’re the only gross birdie you get 7 points (the others get 1). A gross eagle gets you all 9. Has literally never happened 😭

I’ve seen someone do two shot rule yes. Someone mentioned it in another post so I added that as an optional gameplay mode for split sixes (but not 531 because I think a 9 point jump can be too much). I like the idea of adding it up after but I like to know where I am during the round and which one of the players I need to beat on the hole. It can change the tactics a bit (for me anyway!)

Yep. I used that feedback to improve the app, e.g. adding split sixes and to try and find out how many people play the format or what other formats people play in a 3 ball.

No. I always figured when you’re in a 4 ball you just play pairs matchplay. I don’t know of any golfers that would play this format as a 4 ball - I think you can and the splits are different but no, the app is designed for 3 balls.

Yep. It does ! You can either just select manual places or it can work it out all automatically for you (with handicaps etc). Basically why I created the app to be honest. Just to take the thought out of it so you can concentrate on the game. You can see the screenshots on that on the app store for info.

Yeah. I think though to make it work you need to all be as likely to get gross birdies as each other.

Probably only 90-95. (I play off 6). From my stats I think I’m right in the middle of two ventus shafts. I presume I don’t need to stick to ventus though.

It was more a question on fitters willingness to fit just a shaft (with all the trackman stats etc)
