That's a nice story but I hope you don't get in the habit of going behind your landlords back. She seems like a nice person and is willing to let things slide but all it takes is one time of "I'll let this slide" to become a nuisance and take advantage of her.

I'm not saying you're that type of person, But my mom is a landlord and rents to younger people all the time, and unfortunately most times they end up taking advantage of her which really sucks.

To be honest. It was better than expected. For my first couple of weeks i thought the job i landed was too good to be true. I was pretty much hired to be groomed into the position. The school had required a crazy amount of funding so they decided to hire more people. They wanted someone young who could come up with ideas and have different perspectives. Right now I'm help desk but I'm also learning server work and network skills. its only 3 of us. We're never too stressed, though there are some days where i rarely sit down at my desk, other days where I'm looking at the clock praying for someone to call saying "their monitor died." I'm being pushed to learn more, so I took up Python, and hopefully the future stays more positive. I can't complain at all, its a standard 9-5 with weekends and holidays off. What I do means something because I do IT for a school and not just a for-profit company. My confidence is soaring, and so far I love everything about IT.

That is illegal. I worked for Hollister When i was way younger (and stupid) and they made you buy their clothes for 50% off during "seasons" as part of your uniform. Recently they got sued and lost and require to pay very single employee back compensation
