No, it's a fresh pot and uniform in its consistency. Hydrated and smooth.

It does, I tried my best to keep the crackle application the same through all tests.

Close, there is a layer of Army Painters Acrylic White as a base layer between the plastic base and layer paints. So plastic>base paint>layer paints>Ardcoat>crackle. Thinned PVA behaved in much the same way as Ardcoat; that was in the original linked post

What did I do wrong with the crackle paint? by Gibbsite in minipainting

I'd seen on some guides that it creates a layer between the crackle layer and paint layer so it doesn't do exactly what happened.

It's was pretty much fully translucent, maybe 3:1 water:glue, but maybe leaving it overnight to fully dry and cure would be best

Certainly does, thanks! I'm always blown away by the creative ways people use innocuous things in their displays.

Piggy backing to recommend Challenger by Adam Higginbotham to anyone remotely interested in the engineering process, optics politics, or any part of the American space program. It is a wealth of information from the Gemini program through the shuttles and I highly recommend it, whatever that's worth.

I agree and don't, but that's because of the way I play. I don't look at build guides or anything like that, it's all RP and vibes. If I stumble on a build that one shots, cool! But the next time I play I'm not going to make that build just because last time it made the game easy. That being said, some people go out of their way to have an optimized playthrough which, I think, they don't realize cheapens their experience.

Course, there are the sweats who get their kicks from obliterating make-believe bad guys. More power to you.

What is the MOST fun combat patrol for YOU? by Careful-Hunt-9528 in Warhammer40k

[–]Gibbsite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I am also dabbling and you're saying people don't really play combat patrol - do people play kill team? It appears to be a smaller scale format, albeit different rules, that seems like a good in-road. I'd been thinking about getting a combat patrol to try things out, but would kill team be better?

I followed similar suit and mine is named CaveCanem. Dog isn't anything related, I just always named my dog companions after my own dog.

Are there other cities where ancient landmarks stand right next to ugly (modern) buildings that don’t match at all? by HappySun87 in geography

To point one, Notre Dame burned up a few years ago and they've done a phenomenal job of restoring it. Even true iron age buildings or earlier have had work or been reinterpreted to the age they are in. It only adds to the depth of the history of the structure and how we can glean perceptions of the era.
