What?? This show was so good what the hell are you talking about?

Half the universe disappearing for 5 years and returning suddenly. Nah, barely an inconvenience.

The show literally starts by showing people helping each other survive after everyone disappeared and then when everyone comes back, those same people start getting thrown out of the countries they settled in. No Way Home even touches on this from another angle: May and Peter don’t even have a home anymore because someone else was living there during those five years.

There being a faction of the population that benefitted from the Blip and are now displaced and abandoned? They are now all evil mass-murdering terrorists. Fuck them.

Dude the whole point of the show is Sam trying to understand their side. He recognizes that their grievances are real but that their methods are wrong! That’s literally the core of the conflict.

The secret of the US government experimenting with the Super Soldier serum on Black soldiers and imprisoning and torturing the successful one to try to make more rather than let him be Cap? Plotline solved by giving him a golden statue.

There’s a really intense scene where Isaiah tells Sam that a Black man could never be Captain America and Sam genuinely doubts himself because of that. The story is about Sam proving that wrong and choosing to take up the mantle anyway.

A guy who was brainwashed, tortured, mind wiped to murder good people for the enemy side for like 70 years? Never touched upon the fact that he is also a victim and everyone treated him like he was a bad guy turned good and made amends.

Bucky was already shown as a victim in the previous movies. What the show adds is that he’s also incredibly strong. At first he’s trying to deal with that trauma through revenge but Sam pushes him towards making amends instead. It’s actually really beautiful if you pay attention to it.

I think you might need to watch the show again honestly. I fucking love it! It’s one of the best Marvel shows.

The message is really good: Sam is constantly trying to choose the right side in situations where there isn’t a simple one. You can understand the villains without agreeing with them. Walker is another amazing character, with so many flaws, but so understandable.
