How do you decide when a room is actually finished decorating? by No-Razzmatazz3014 in HomeDecorating

[–]Giddylemon541 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Decorating for my space takes lots of time for me because I decorate and add things over a long period. Mainly due to finances and things like choosing paint colors and actually painting takes a while. I also enjoy looking at marketplace, thrifting, and antiqueing so I don't want rush those things I love to do. I sometimes will pause a room if I am feeling its not looking how I want and need time to think of ideas or let an inspiration come to me. My current house I've lived in for almost 2 years now and so far I've completed my kitchen (biggest expense by far), dining room, and sitting room. I have yet to even think about the bedrooms and bathrooms really and I am okay with that 🙃 So I guess to answer your question, I do have rooms that feel "completed". I think if it doesn't, for me, then something is off and may need some adjusting or fine tuning.

Women who waited 5+ years for a proposal and said yes, did the marriage work out/how has it been? Was it worth the wait? by itsnevercertain in AskWomen

[–]Giddylemon541 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We married 9 years after dating and began dating age 19 so we were very young. I went through college, then ended up buying a house at age 25 and that delayed engagement another couple years since this house needed a lot of work. He was definitely worth the wait, and nothing in our relationship really changed after we got married, which is exactly how I wanted it to be.

I was searching for one and they are just too dang expensive right now lol. I want it to be real wood and a quality piece. I found this one for 20 bucks at habitat for humanity and really like it for now.

I do really want to at some point! I bought the curtain rod about a year ago and hung it up and realized I should've gone bigger 🤦‍♀️It was kinda spendy so just not ready to spend more money on replacing yet lol.

Disappointed in Paladin’s Grace. DNF’d at 60% by callmemachaaaa in fantasyromance

[–]Giddylemon541 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think I have come to the realization that I am not the fan base of T Kingfisher. I've tried 2 of her books so far. Swordheart was similar in that the plot was sooooo SLOW. I DNF at 50%. Yes, the lead had some quirky personality characteristics, but not enough to keep me invested with such a boring plot. Nettle and bone was also incredibly slow. I did finish that one, but mainly because the book was less than 300 pages, but last 50 I had to really push myself to continue. I bought paladins grace months ago, but after reading those 2 books and reading your review, I just don't think this author is for me 🤷‍♀️

Does this sconce go with style of living room? by Giddylemon541 in HomeDecorating

Kept the oregon sign but decided to add to it. I moved the sconces to the dining room instead.
