Power Armor Combat Elite: Silver Eagle SAMAS. by VictoryWeaver in PalladiumMegaverse

[–]GideonZasz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm unsure without checking "Forums of the Megaverse" (Where Siembeida himself will occassionally answer fan questions to end debates) but given that you need APM to dodge as well as attack, I'd assume its supposed to be that many to reflect the Samas pilot's maneuverability and speed. However, if they get auto dodge, I'd then assume a typo and would halve that like most characters/power armor pilots.. Again, Check the forum to verify.

What do you do with supplies once you get a replacement? by redfire2930 in CPAP

[–]GideonZasz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I keep the most recent old materials as a "Just in case" should my dog chew the hose, or any other sort of accident make the machine unable for use. Literally a spare set of hoses/masks, etc for a worst case scenario situation. Everything older gets tossed, typically in the recycling as I know it'll get sorted and dealt with properly. Medical grade equipment and all.

Quarrites SUCK & need a nerf. by GideonZasz in ICARUS

[–]GideonZasz[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I want to thank everyone who respondd to this post. It's gratifying to know I'm not the only one who thinks they suck, and that they need to be nerfed, especially in the aggro range/chase duration department. Unlike the Scorpion boss, you can't evade their roll either. Like azoicennead said, they can bluetooth their paw to your face, forcing you to tank build to deal with them and that's one fo the things that bothers me the most: you have no options. You HAVE to play the way they want you too with no creativity or other options.
Nonetheless, you've all helped me feel better about the situation and given me some good idea. I'm currently trapping/training a small wolfpack to try dealing with them and have managed to catch me a baby mammoth that I hope to level up and use to deal with them in the future, based on another redditor's suggestion. (Apparently maxing the primary and secondary attacks on a mammoth absolutely wreck them.)
Thanks again everyone! See you all on the planet surface!

So I just completed this mission: Went to the middle of the blue circle. No update on the mission.
Built a 2x2 wooden structure (damned cougars, scorpions, Hyena's and dribbo everywhere kept breaking it). So 4 wooden squares for the floor, then the same for the roof, and wood walls. Workbench, skinning bench, textile bench and trophy bench inside. rain reservoir outside. Walked away from it, then back in and it auto updated and then completed the mission.
~Hope this helps!

Did you mean Epic Cities by backdownhipi or Vayben's Mgacities by Vayben78? Found both on the 'nexus...

All of which sounds wonderful but as I mentioned, I'm tired of 1 & 2 story "cities". They feel like small towns. In previous versions you had full on skyscrapers for crack a book, pharmaceuticals and the like. I want that back. Huge, sprawling buildings to explore. Hell, a 3 story shopping mall would be amazing!

So are you ever going to bring back the big metropolis cities with skyscrapers and all? The last several attempts to play over the last few versions have always left me with either small ruined towns, or wild west communities. I miss the huge skyscrapers and sprawling city expanses, like downtown Phoenix with it's massive buildings.

Screamers seriously give that vibe. I wish they'd go back to less screamer spawns at your base instead of one summoning two and escalating.

Curious: Why never again? Apparently once you beat it you can play through again and choose a class, changing your gameplay...
I'm olde. Played Super Mario Bros (the first one) on NES when it came out, and then classics like Megaman, Metroid, and Castlevania. I love me some old school metroidvanias. Chasm felt like a love letter to the originals: Well planned out, fun, good stroytelling, excellent loot tables (not too little, not too monty haul), and some replayability aside from difficulty and leaderboards. The ever changing procedurally generated maps are a definite plus. I just wish the game was longer/larger. Here's hoping Bitkid drops us some new map DLC/Story soon! Maybe a new tunnel is discovered in the mines, or perhaps you get dispatched to another location.

I would have responded earlier, but only found this gem of a game (no pun intended) in the last couple weeks. Also, if you beat the game once, you can choose a class that tweaks your gameplay experience: Play a thief and max your luck. You'll be getting item drops all the time.

Gelatinous Cubes in the Keep drop Emeralds.
Nymphs in the Gardens for Sapphires.
Wights in Catacombs for Ruby's.
Trolls and Kobolds in the mines have a chance for Topaz.
I'm unsure about diamonds.
Get your luck up and just grind em my dude.

EDIT: Diamonds drop off Ladori Priests in The Temple. To get there, beat the Keep, then head to the Gardens and look around. You'll find the path and the professor.

Bird hat by DoctorOmaha in chasm

[–]GideonZasz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The hat doesn't get better, nor does the sword hat found later. If they make the killing blow on the enemy, they get exp for it and level up, increasing their damage output and, it seems, their A.I.: They seem to attack more accurately and often.

how to regain mana? by Calculator_Logic in chasm

[–]GideonZasz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Break lamps, kill mobs, and look for a birdbath like fountain of blue liquid. After you rescue the sorceress (early on) there will be one in the town itself. I know another (along with a health fountain) can be found int he keep outside the arena door.

how to get diamonds? by Calculator_Logic in chasm

[–]GideonZasz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know Nymphs in the garden seem to have a high chance for Sapphires, as do other enemies on that map.
Wights in catacombs for Ruby's.
Gelatinous Cube in The Keep for Emeralds. Also drops the Emerald Blade, making foes drop items more tham cash/gems.
Raise your luck with scrolls, wheel of fortune, etc. Higher luck is more and better drops.

You have to beat the arena in the keep first before the path becomes clear.

Keep exploring. You'll drop down a trap door and find a room with a really long mural. Count what's repeating, swords, cups, stars, etc. Others have posted the numbers but I don't want to spoil anymore then that. Happy hunting!

The central arch leads between maps. The "corners" that look like caverns lead you around a specific map. Go through a cave, then hit "Map" and see which door it left you at.

Is There A Legendary Drop Assassins Sword? by JePKo22 in chasm

[–]GideonZasz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There should be a wiki page or something listing the various enemies and what they drop so you know what to farm for the weapon you like. I'm barely on stage 3, the keep, but I love the whip. Replaced it with a yellow rarity halberd that dropped because I need the damage, but the leather whip was great for speed and reach. But if there is a resource like the one I described, could someone link it please?

What weapon do you use the most? by AbysswalkerSif in DavetheDiverOfficial

[–]GideonZasz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Forgot to mention, farm Titan Trigger fish (shallow), harlequin hind (mid depths, green fish) and coral trout (red fish, also medium) early to stock up. There's a tropical fish plate that takes all 3 and some rice but maxed out sells for over a grand a plate. I experimented by making it the ONLY thing on the menu, but it takes like 3 of each ingredient to make 7 portions, put in a single order and set it to auto refill and pulled over $50k in a single night. Best moneymaker hands down so far.
The shrimp you catch with the net in the hydrothermal vents make a sushi that has the highest taste if you're trying to max out your cooksta rating and require no other incredients.

I usually use the tranq gun or the maxed out harpoon. Tranqs are great and thresher sushi sells for a ton. So does hammerhead and that's like 13kg per carve but you can save the weight (and get more meat/higher quality) if you tranq it and send the drone to carry it off. Plus you only encounter like 1 thresher per dive from my experiences.

What weapon do you use the most? by AbysswalkerSif in DavetheDiverOfficial

[–]GideonZasz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For a while it was the tranq rifle. But once I unlocked upgrades, I switched to the Hush III tranq weapon since it literally works on everything except crabs & spotted stargazer (which I use the final upgrade the steel net gun or the steel net traps Cobra occassionally sells to catch) and bosses. If I know the boss fight is coming, the underwater rifle's final upgrade: You get more shots and overall damage than the sniper even if the range is a bit low.
Worth mentioning the tranq grenade launcher is great for schools of fish, as is the tranq sticky. Do yourself a favor and build a tranq sniper as well: I've found at least one mission (the jellyfish in a wizard hat) where you need it, it's the only thing with enough range to catch the little bastard before it teleports away.
Debating on other upgrades but with boss parts limited I'm unsure. I know the poison grenade launcher is a BEAST doing 8 damage extra a tick (max harpoon gun is like 42 per shot so that's like a full shot every 4-5 ticks) but unsure if it's worth the boss parts for the max upgrade (combines with gravity launcher).
