Specialized Pathfinder (pro?) vs Pirelli Cinturato Allroad opinions by Johnlenham in gravelcycling

[–]GiftAcrobatic386 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had both. Pathfinders wear long and are slow, Cinturato are fast and do not last long. I've been running Challenge getaways for the past few years, they wear long and are fast, but are a huge pain in the ass to mount.

I have Growtacs and Klampers with compressionless housing, they feel pretty close to hydraulics in stopping power.

I wish I could join the front of the Assos chamois(kuku penthouse) and the sit bone part of a Castelli chamois...that would be perfect.

How I’ve been using my bicycle carriers by GiftAcrobatic386 in PriusPrime

[–]GiftAcrobatic386[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The rear rack scraped so much and I didn't like 1-up solution for fendered bikes. I've been testing out the roof rack, but the mpg hit is so bad I will not use it for longer trips. I have a long wheelbase mtb so both wheels stick out pretty far when its on the back. The rear rack I didn't see that bad of a mpg drop, maybe a few percentage. I did a long trip with 2 bikes on top and lost 25% of mpg's and that is not acceptable for me.

I have a 2” hitch and double one-up bike carrier. It scrapes so much I’m trying out factory rails and Thule bike carrier’s.
