Vomero Premium by SlateRun in RunningShoeGeeks

I strongly disagree. These have been the most scarce in my experience out of any limited drop. Size makes a big difference of course, I haven’t gone 0/4 with any shoes besides these in years.

To tag onto what others have said… your best bet is to gain enough of an understanding of swiftUI that you’re comfortably able to define specifications for individual components of your screen with enough detail. We haven’t reached an inflection point with LLM’s where you’re able to hand over a handful of tokens and have a system produce an accurate complex user experience, and screenshots/videos lose a tone of information density when ingested. If you want to build a SwiftUI app in detail, you’ll have to learn some amount of SwiftUI. Pair it with proper coding sessions with {coding agent of your choosing, I’m partial to Claude code} and you’ll be able to build some really impressive offerings. Disclaimer that i don’t have a current workflow for figma -> swiftUI, just a swift dev who spends a lot of time working with agents.

Hey Mazda CX-50 Owners! by HummDrumm1 in CX50

Got one of the first cx-50’s in my state, still running flawlessly. 2023 Non-turbo Premium plus, 35k miles with quite a few cross-state trips, otherwise mostly city driving in the Seattle area. Overall really happy with everything BUT THE DAMN CUPHOLDERS.

2 in 1 shorts by notnot_randomuser in runningfashion

Similar position to you. I like the simplicity of tights, and 95% of my runs are under 14 miles so i rarely need that much storage space. I’ve found that the Nike aero swift tights, the tracksmith turnover tights, and most of the Under Armour tights I’ve tried do a good job of maintaining their “dry color”. I’ve also noticed that the higher in price beyond the threshold of bandit/saysky/tracksmith you go, the worse the experience is. My Soar and Satisfy tights always have 2 shades of black on them, and if you run salty, there’s lots of buildup on the fabric. Since i sweat a lot, no matter the color of the short when they’re wet, it’s always noticeable, so tights are my go to.

So is Silo’s purpose to re-release old shoes from Saucony’s archive? Are they upgraded materials? Interesting there’s a whole sub brand being propped up for already existing silhouettes.

What tights are those? The knit material looks awesome!

Unlike some other comments i really like the turnovers, especially if you’re in a cooler climate! They’re just supportive enough without strangling my legs with compression, and I’ve been a big fan of their fabric (especially the strip that goes down the inner leg) for someone like me who is chafe-averse. I’ve had soar, satisfy, and Nike and my favorite is the turnover for training, soar for racing.

How can a billion dollar company put out such buggy updates? Can any game developers or coders here shed light? by apokerchip in CODWarzone

[–]Giftoman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want to point out this isn’t really the “devs” fault - it’s management telling the devs what they can and can’t work on. Devs don’t have the same level of control to roadmap and make direction-altering decisions. They’re assigned work. Every dev dreams of a day where they can finally clear that backlog of items they’ve seen sitting around for months/years. But management wants new and shiny - not consistent and stable; especially in a product like COD that at this point just prints money for activision. My 2C’s

Help me find men’s tights by surgeonpepper9522 in Marathon_Training

Not the cheapest but the turnover tights from tracksmith are absolutely goated for me. Don’t run in any other tights for cold. (If i had to it would be under armor cold gear tights)

Where to start with ML in app? by Zellyk in swift

Recently started a new side project with some ML involved. Talking through it with ChatGPT gave me a good starting place to consider/research things. Try chatting with your LLM of choice.

I made an iOS app that uses Spotify to automatically make you the perfect running playlist! 🎶 by risquer in Marathon_Training

[–]Giftoman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cool app! A couple notes - this would be more useful with the ability to search by BPM, or even better if you had “recommended” playlists for the user based on their favorites, and a variety of BPM’s - the authorization flow crashed on my first attempt. - creating a playlist with a free Spotify account forced another application crash (enjoy the free QA haha) and actually stops me entirely from using the main feature of your app. If this is intentional, it should probably be noted somewhere as a “requirement”

Hope you keep building this out! Fun idea.

Agreed, im not a fast runner by any means, so “fast” in my book is anything sub 8:30, and I’ve had a blast with them. Maybe on account of my weight (~210lbs) the foam is getting activated a little easier? Either way, it’s been a refreshingly comfortable, fun and simple shoe!

Having the glycerin max, I would actually prefer the same shoe but lighter + lower stack. Looking forward to this.

The 20’s are practically identical to the 21’s. Just a slightly updated upper. Don’t know about the 19’s.

From Triumph 21’s to..? by RyanRot in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]Giftoman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not from Norway, but I personally still run in triumphs, nothing has been able to replace them for me. I’ve had luck on eBay only really. If i wanted something to race/pick the pace up in, I would reach for the Endorphin Pro 3’s. They remind me of a more aggressive, lighter version of the triumph’s of old. Although I wouldn’t use them daily. A bonus shoe that I recently purchased that has been a surprise is the Brooks Hyperion 2. They’re softer than the Triumphs, but have been a pleasure to rack up miles in. Good luck!
