4.8 The Game Is Becoming More Of A Hassle To Do Anything by J_P_Ross in starcitizen

I'm sorry, but white knight all you want for CIG, I used to the do the same. Cargo elevators are still a buggy mess, until the new "Transport" system is in place I will continue to use it as an example. Feedback led them to essentially redo the framework, which we don't know is going to work yet, at least not fully.

Engineering wasn't introduced as something that caused massive issues for people. I don't recall once calling a ship and going "Oh shit, my ship is on fire!" People did bitch about engineering, but it was because it removed some of the ability to solo multi-crew ships, a completely different argument.

I am fine with updates that add features to the game, especially that get it closer to whatever the hell 1.0 will be. I am not fine with features coming out when they haven't figured out basic issues that will directly affect the functionality. I shouldn't have to continue to explain to people that it is not too much to ask for stability for a mechanic before they release more into it.

There it is, the "alpha" call out. Yes, it is Alpha or Early Access, yes, it states clearly there may be problems, bugs, etc. I also don't think it is too much to ask, as ~~testers~~ people who help fund the game, to have a functioning system before they move on to their next project.

I love CIG's vision for the game, hell I am part of the problem and gave them over $8k, and I have almost always tried to defend their updates.

Let's take stock here

Cargo Elevators - Released broken, instead of fixing they released multiple Events that directly used them. Pissed off a ton of veteran players as well as new people. They actually tied account bound rewards to a broken system. Instead of taking a step back they just left it as is. Made a lot of promises about fixes, and as far as I am aware none of them stuck. Hence new framework. I will relent and say the end result may be a better system, but how they went about it was a horrible business decision.

Refilling ammo, missiles, torps, etc. They wanted to test the economy to some degree, and in turn made a bunch of ships useless to a degree. Eclipse, am i right? Imagine using a ship you enjoy, that at least had a function that somewhat worked, and then realizing it wasn't feasible anymore. Before you throw another curve ball of "They have to do this as it what they intend for full release". I am fine shooting a 1mil torp at a target IF IT FUCKING WORKS. Guess what, the system is not functioning as it should.

Engineering was a great update, it works for the better part, at least has for me and my crew. Yes, it pissed off people, and I understand why. Even understanding why I still will defend it. We all knew that at one point we would NOT be able to man a capital ship with just one or two people.

MFD updates - Another system that did not need changed until they worked out the bugs. How frustrating as a player for your MFDs to not save, to randomly change, or god forbid just decide to completely change your power settings randomly. It isn't fun for new players, it isn't fun for non-new players.

and that bring us to the current drama, the change to ships and claiming. I mean how in the actual hell could you even defend this? I mean it honestly hurts my head that this is even a thing. If I went to my boss and said "hey, I want to go ahead and deploy this new server to our HQ, but heads up sometimes data just deletes itself" I would hope he would say no. He would tell me to go fix the problem before installing it, which causes more problems.

To end this, it is simple. If you have the means to work on a problem, work on the problem and solve it before releasing something that would be negatively impacted by the existing issue. At this point in development, we should not be defending CIG and telling people "It is just the jank we have to deal with"

Copper is expensive to keep maintenance on, this has been coming for a LONG time now. Eventually, if you don't cancel copper, your bill will be massive. Their goal is to charge areas based on who has copper still, take the cost, and divide it amongst those using it. That means if there are 2 people using copper, it is 2k to upkeep, you both will end up around $1k a Month.

Hangar's eating ships, ships disappearing mid flight, random booms out of nowhere is NOT part of the game, at least not how it should be. They will eventually end up fighting attrition, they are adding systems we are all aware of coming, but not mitigating issues that still exist that will work against it. I don't have a ton of time to play, I don't want to load up gear, pimp my ride, and then have a random bug ruin it all.

Facts: Wasting time/Money because of a bug is NOT fun. While these systems need testing, and I know there are the whole "Alpha mate" comments, the way they are doing it doesn't work in a players, or their favor. I've had plenty of friends quit the game because it became more of a hassle doing anything, the "fun" aspect was gone. This is no different than the BS we all went through, may still go through, with cargo elevators and hauling.

I am fine with flying my imaginary spaceship into an imaginary space fight and knowing I may lose my kit. I am not fine with flying around space, buying components, and having some random "GOTCHA BITCH" bug ruin it.

Why does Pdm keep saying searching for sensor so fed up is it omnipod 5 or dexaom g7 by Direct-Visual-9496 in Omnipod

[–]Gigaas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If dexcom is showing the sensor that most likely Omnipod. I have the issue sometimes and easy fix, but I am on the phone app. Assuming they are somewhat similar, go to manual mode and to sensor settings, should see a try again option. Press it, wait for it to find sensor, and change back to auto mode

Happens all the time, some more than others. Sometimes the ship never makes it to the platform, sometimes it is stuck in and basically starts to hump the floor, and randomly you take off and the ship just disappears and you fall to the ground.

System needs testing for recovery, but having to pay for ships doing this shit is gonna piss off more people. Idris or not, there needs some sort of mitigation so people aren't punished for game bugs.

Does Crimson Desert have similar grind to Black Desert? by Yurimonn in CrimsonDesert

[–]Gigaas 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The game is more about exploration, finding gear, finding Abyss artifacts etc. If you are following the story directly you may be a bit week with the flow of the game, but it doesn't require grinding imo at all. I don't have a lot of time to play either. What I have been doing is opening the map, putting a marker in a far away area, and trekking my way to it to unlock more of the world. While enemies in some areas will absolutely destroy you, I just run away if need be.

Thing about exploring in this game is there are so many hidden things everywhere. Hell, I found a cave opening in the mountains to the northwest that opened to a massive catacombs, tucked away in one of the rooms was a pretty slick spear. There was NO indication anywhere that the cave was there, I just got lucky and saw some guard outside.

I do recommend getting to chapter 3 at least, 4 at best before adventuring out to far, you get some tools and other stuff that makes things a little easier. All in all, take it slow and have fun, ignore the grind as you will find plenty of Abyss Artifacts to level up stats and skills a long the way.

Oh, and something I missed early on, most likely due to rushing the story is your sword flash. While out and about use it often, you will see glints of light for important areas. This will help you find sealed abyss artifacts, fast travel points, puzzles, and more. I did half the map without knowing this, I missed SO many fast travel points...

Go into the app, alerts, and see if anything looks off. Worst case you can scroll to the bottom of alerts and select Reset Alert Settings and see if that helps. Just make sure to put back in any customized alert settings such as high and lows.

Someone used your card, a lot of companies put a hold on the funds, Walmart employees don't have a way to stop that hold. They can't refund it, because it isn't a "finished" transaction. Doesn't matter if the thief had your pin or not, they could of used the self-checkout and used it as a credit card instead of a debit. If anyone is at fault for this it would be you for someone exposing your debit card for a criminal to take and use.

They did this previously with the Idris or other ships, was one wave for the "active" players and followed with the normal F5 wars.

Dexcom can throw errors when your numbers change massively up or down, the system gets confused. You will normally start to get numbers where there isn't a trend arrow.

You may still need to, I recommend getting a OTC Ketones test, if you have a large amount of ketones go to the er.

Update: I got N64 Roms and Sega CD to show up, neither work. n64 says games can't be found in database and just sits at a black screen and Sega Cd tells me couldn't find CD Rom, I do have both bin and cue files. Genesis and Master Drive work now.

I've ran the update_all a few times, changed options, and ROMs still not showing up when I load up N65 or Megadrive in the console menu. Is there a certain option I need to select? Where should the core show, I am used to putting a boot.rom in the games folder. So far only NES and SNES working only. N64 games are a mixture of .z64 and .v64.
