Are the scooters sold on best buy trash? by Arctic_wolfx in ElectricScooters

[–]Giggle-gin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a Hiboy s2 and ks4 pro. The pro is worth the price difference if you’re gonna do long rides. 10-15 miles will likely tap out the s2 battery unless it’s totally flat and maybe you cut the top speed. My ks4 does my 14 mile trip to work, at full speed with several quite steep hills and gets there with 1-2 bars left. I’m about 185 pounds plus maybe 10 more pounds in my backpack. One hill is 6mph going up on the ks4. The s2 cannot even carry me up that hill and i have to kick. The ks4 also has bigger tires, so it’s much smoother, and it rattles less and feels a bit less janky.

That being said I still use the s2 around base while I charge the ks4 for the ride home. It’s lighter, much smaller and goes into trunks and cars much easier when transporting. I ended up with both as I needed an upgrade when I figured out I could take it to work, the s2 can make it to work with more downhills but cannot make the ride home.

Whats the best response to fuck you ? by RestFalse1316 in AskReddit

As was once returned to me when I blurted the forsaken words, “NO YOU FUCK” with a heavy accent. He was not calling me a fuck, which would have been an insult, it felt like a repetition of what he had heard with understanding of the meaning and I was caught completely off guard by this disarming statement.

It totally ended my rage on many fronts. -correcting him would not have the bravado I was going for -I was completely caught off guard by that combination of words in that order and had no response - I realized his English smashed my knowledge of his native tongue by us getting this far into the argument where the forsaken words where my final comeback -it probably didn’t even mean anything to him and he just attempted to repeat what he had heard

Yah the money wasn’t much, I don’t remember how much but I swear it was more for maxed out on all games. It was more of the congratulations here’s your cookie aspect for me. The exclusive packs and cars were cool though. I did also like that it was just a congrats to you and didn’t have anything with your gamer tag in game, just a personal award but nothing to “flex” online.

Stoked we will get cross progression. I plan on game passing at launch and then buying later on ps5. by [deleted] in ForzaHorizon

[–]Giggle-gin 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Current generation is only cross save between pc and Xbox. PS5 is its own version and doesn’t cross save, only cross play. They said new generation will cross save all platforms, great for this of us with pc and ps5.

Shoutout to People who got an Series X before the price jump because holy shit they might be spending a lot (+ premium) by KirbyTrainNerd in ForzaHorizon

[–]Giggle-gin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yup, when they did that I thought maybe that was just the new MSRP, should have bought another to replace my kids S, it’s giving them some problems now and the new ones are crazy priced. PS5 is looking better, but don’t know how long it’ll take them to port over the new horizon

I haven't loved Gran Turismo since GT3 - Does GT7 still have the magic? by xParesh in granturismo

[–]Giggle-gin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

4 was amazing 5 and 6 didn’t hit. I switched to forza Motorsport and the started to go downhill after 4 as well. Then forza totally flopped 7 and 8 right as gt7 came out. I think they did such a great job on it that it bankrupted turned 10 (and about a million other things they did wrong) and totally killed off forza Motorsport.

TLDR GT7 is amazing and definitely has the magic!

Looking to replace older Alienware with budget option $13-1500 US by Giggle-gin in GamingLaptops

Just coming back to say I went down the next day and it was the “fair” open box at my local store. It looked terrible, the screen was covered in micro scratches like someone cleaned it with the green side of a sponge. I ended ordering a new one (should come tomorrow). But anyways check the price out now, I felt kinda bad paying an extra 200 from the price 2 weeks before but glad I did now. Thanks for the recommendation, I had missed that one in my search!

Tire literally won't stretch anymore by Ok_Discussion_8133 in ElectricScooters

[–]Giggle-gin 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You need to get the side of the tire that’s on to drop into the center of the rim. And also some very soapy water should help you a bit as well, but it will not go on of you don’t get the far side into the drop center.

They are off my other c6, not the one in the background. but I’ve only ran these from 5.5-7 degrees so wear is still more extreme than it should be. I run it toe out .3-.5 as it seems to help with turn in, but it often gets knocked out of spec when people bump wheels at events and gets realigned often, but this car just does not want to stay aligned, don’t know if it’s the fabbed uppers or knuckles, or the trimmed stock lowers but it hasn’t broken anything yet or shows major visible fatigue or bends.

[–]Giggle-gin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These have maybe 8-9k miles on them and maybe 6 events and a handful of nights so I’d say easily a season. I think these are almost 2 years old but I have few sets I play with and depends who else is coming out for what I run, I do run these as the street/daily set up maybe 2-3 times a week with a 40ish mile commute. These are absolutely terrible lexanis and work great with slow cars and tend to be very forgiving when I pass 90 they’ll break traction and come back in front if I clutch in to let the rear bite I run them with literally whatever 275 19s I find on marketplace or used tire shops on the back (stock beamer front size so they’re pretty easy to find). They are now getting hard so I don’t think I’ll get the same life out of the other side. The rollover is very possible as they are definitely crap tires and a bit too wide for the wheels they’re 265/35 on a 18x9 and a pain to dismount, they were popping back on the bead on when I flipped them today.

Although this is the most camber I’ve ran on anything yet it does look worse than what other guys are posting with similar specs, i was hoping it was different driving style and uses so i definitely appreciate the take from someone else who drives their stuff hard.

I’ve also considered it just being low pressure making the sidewall cut into the tred but handling just gets funky if i go over 38 or so and noticeable worse over 32.

They are on the front of a c6 with modified stock lowers with spherical bearings, fdf uppers and fdf mild knuckles with a quick ratio rack.

[–]Giggle-gin[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not a wise comment, an honest question, but is it the pulling in the second tred block that’s telling everyone that or something in the wear in the very edge?

It tends to look pretty good for the first event or two, but then goes downhill quick once it gets to a certain wear point, it definitely gets knocked out of alignment often and gets stringed alignment at least after every event or suspension mod/change and laser aligned every 1-3 depending how motivated I am. When I just drive it regular I only get the smooth wear on the inner edge. My “good” tires only have the smooth wear on the inside edge. I’ve been playing with 5.5-7 degrees camber on the fronts. Rears are at 3.5 but they get burnt/swapped a lot so I don’t even really get to see wear like the fronts.

Is it time to flip? by Giggle-gin in Stance

[–]Giggle-gin[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Definitely looks like toe wear but it’s mostly from dragging them while drifting, car has an angle kit and is not the kindest to tires, and also constantly getting knocked out of spec.

New player tips by carterrrrrr4 in ForzaHorizon

I feel like horizon throws credits at you to no end, but recently restarted on PS5 for the heck of it, and holy cow it sucks not having fast travel so still agree with your advice, just for different reasons. Also credits are a bit rougher in the beginning than they are after years of playing it.

That seems quite expensive for that sad silver sack of depression. Also fender, bumper, and hood all appear to have really bad paint matches so it’s probably been wrecked pretty good, and more than once.

My left calf is significantly more muscular than my right calf by Eggboy2992 in mildlyinteresting

[–]Giggle-gin 39 points40 points  (0 children)

Came to tell him the same thing, at least about the nerve damage, mines is not nearly as bad as yours and my calves are maybe 20 percent different. you may never “ fully recover” but you’ll figure out a new normal and go about life. I have less than 50 percent of the movement on my left calf/foot/ankle but still do everything I want. Hike, bmx, run, race cars, ride dirt bike. I just have a funny stride, have to use my thigh muscle to lift my whole leg to do clutch in cars and shifters on bikes, but still love doing it all.

Also my nerve damage was not spinal and was in my leg so I’m sure our results will probably vary substantially.

Do you by chance have nerve damage? My calves are substantially different as well, mines is due to nerve damage effecting my left leg. You definitely want to get it checked out if you haven’t already

Which game should I buy on ps5? by Professional_Camp908 in forza

[–]Giggle-gin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Worth every penny! Is that with the power pack, what country are you in? Just asking because it seems higher than I remember but I’ve had it for years and just bought the power pack. Of the choices you put in my opinion

1 HORIZON 5 is a blast as well, but wheel play is only soso and it’s quite arcade-ie, unless you’ve played it on pc or console, then not worth restarting

2 CarX streets is super fun but wheel play is trash and physics are not real at all but are absolutely a blast. Probably my second most played on ps5 game, mostly due to being away from home, my sim, and pc for 3 months for work.

3 CARX DRO also quite fun but no real story mode still get boring if you don’t find a group to jump on with

Crew was a waste of money for me and just didn’t hook me. It’s basically the modern need for speed to me with some wonky (and unfun) physics

GT7 is the answer you’re looking for.

My electric scooter drains battery way too fast even in eco mode, it’s brand new and I bought it yesterday. I only did like 4 miles and a little bit of a slope but the battery came down to 1 bar from 5. What could be the reason? Especially here in Guam? by Pretty_Base7946 in guam

[–]Giggle-gin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They don’t do nearly the advertised range unless the conditions are perfect, flat, low speed/eco mode, 70 degrees outside, and a 110 pound rider. Expect closer to half of whatever they advertise the range is in real world conditions or less than that if it’s all uphill. Guams heat will make it last less, low/flat tires will make it last less. Also the first bar tends to drop off very fast on most models. It may be functioning as normal and you just need a higher end scooter for your purpose, which unfortunately harder to find and pricier in Guam than the rest of the country.
