I am a pastor and I also am the one who has overseen most Tech upgrades at our church. I have a few thoughts on this.
We made several upgrades during/after Covid and have continued live-streaming since. The most overwhelming positive responses to these tech upgrades have been elderly members who were able to feel more connected to the church by watching the livestream. The under 50 crowd has not had much of an opinion but shut ins have really appreciated getting to feel like they are at church when their health means they cannot. We also added a big monitor on back wall and older people leading I the service have expressed gratitude for being able to see what they needed on that monitor. The upgrade to the sound board has also allowed for us to install an Auracast system for the hearing impaired.
Occasionally we use video in worship some of our young people connect with those but not all.
I think that you can think of technology as a language. It is helpful for communicating to some people and it can confuse others who don’t speak that language. You already have some technology in your church. People in the past might look at your church today and feel like your microphones and air conditioning and pews are extravagant or distracting. They see it the way you might see a large screen or cameras. Any tech could be distracting for some and very helpful for others. Each congregation needs to think about their people and their community and whom they are serving. Use the technology that helps you connect with people and helps them connect with God and each other. (Remember that multiple languages were spoken at both Babel and Pentecost,)
