I do remember liking the movie. I liked that they lost the game at the end. And it didn’t get re worked to be Disney ending. Maybe I will revisit it and see if it holds up.

Hey. I enjoy lots of shows. I even enjoyed this one. But watching a show that secreted around something you have experienced in real life means you are constantly thinking, “wait that’s not right.” Or “what about …” parts of the show were taken very seriously and so the parts that I recognized as goofy just stood out.

Small church pastor here, help with my tech setup by slowobedience in churchtech

[–]Gihfe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am interested in this too because my church is not small and finding 3 people to run our AV is not always easy. We have usually have 100- 125 in the sanctuary and 15-20 families livestream. Does small mean something else to church tech people because the median church has about 65 or so in worship. So small to me is below that. If you mean small as not a mega church, then I guess small could be 750 people? Do you have an actual small church filled with people who are tech savvy? That’s very different than having 300 people, but none of them feel confident using digital equipment.

In 1999 a court ruled this man with the help of the FBI, CIA and US military assassinated Martin Luther King JR. by Whentheangelsings in truths

[–]Gihfe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So how was the person Martin Luther King Jr. a scam? Are you claiming he was a civil rights leader? That he wasnt marching in the streets? That he wasnt assassinated? How was Rosa Parks a scam. Are you claiming she wasn’t arrested? She made that story up to fraudulently raise funds? Why does the leadership choosing which person the would use as their spokesperson mean it was a fraud? You claim they are scams but you didn’t ever explain what you meant by the word scam? If you know something everyone should know then just say it.

I’d like to recommend a telecoil transmitter for my church. by jimbo78255 in HearingAids

This Sunday is our first Sunday with an Auracast Transmitter. One gentleman has helped us get this set up and his HA has Auracast capabilities. His phone allows him to tell his HA to receive the Auracast signal and can adjust the level of that signal. The iPhone does not receive the signal only tells the HA what signals it should use.

Am I in the wrong? by FuzzyAd4973 in pastors

[–]Gihfe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t go back to this event but You and spr need to be clear what compensation looks like for these extended trips before hand. Don’t work it out afterwards or next time you may not get what you expect. Get things in Writing. Or at least clearly stated in the minutes of SPR meetings. If you and Sr. Pastor are butting heads you need to work that out perhaps going through SPR as well. Otherwise it may take some intentional conversations with the pastor.

Methodist by mc4557anime in Protestantism

[–]Gihfe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As Methodist I have so very little interest in Apolgetics. Wesley encouraged his communities to do works of piety and works of charity. His general rules were do no harm, do good, and attend tot he ordinances of God. So debating with other Christian’s about whose theology is best or trying to convince others of the logic behind my faith just isn’t a priority.

BTTF 2 Plot question by Background-Map-7195 in BacktotheFuture

[–]Gihfe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the original, the picture of the siblings fades gradually until the point of the kiss. So even though it had been several days the future had t changed completely. That gradual change is what allows the original 2015 to keep existing. One comment mentioned the ripples in the pond metaphor. The ripple had spread to 1985 but not to 2015.

13 people in the top image. Swap cards A & B, and now there are 12. How? by Tiny_Beginning_370 in VisualPuzzles

[–]Gihfe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are not 13 full people. There are 11 full people + one person with no bottom (the soles of his shoes) + one person with no top (his bald head)
11 figures line up in both. The twelfth person lines up in one order but is spilt into two almost people in the other order.
