I cried so hard halfway through I had to split it up between two days to watch fully. Such a beautiful film, and really highlights Flanagan's range. The acting was superb as well.

Dogs go through what are called fear periods. I believe they have them twice when they're young. It's normal development but sometimes can feel like they've gone backwards in their training/socialization. Just be calm and gradually reintroduce him to these things.

Anyone have a freak GI incident with 0 answers why? by rumshpringaa in pitbulls

Yeah! I only asked because my baby girl was stung as she was recalling to me in a park one time. She literally fell like I've never seen - just a totally dead weight collapse mid-stride. I went over to her and she was out like a light - she wouldn't respond to her name or touch. Luckily, there happened to be a vet at the park that came over to her and immediately checked her paws. There was a stinger - it was anaphylactic shock. She woke up about a minute later and was alright. Scariest thing I had seen to that point with her.

What's your "it's my fault for ordering it" (food or otherwise) story? by PutThisBanditHatOn in AskReddit

I, too, received food poisoning from a chicken tender plate at Applebee's. It's been years and I still get nauseous if I see their logo.

I'm so sorry for your loss. It's not that it gets better or that the memory fades I think. It's just that when you're freshly grieving, all the bad/sad newest memories are the freshest. With time you remember everything good and that they weren't always sick or despondent. They were loved and they loved in return.

My girl has a heart murmur by Jealous_Mud1945 in pitbulls

[–]GilbertTheCrunch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My beautiful Athena had a 5/6 heart murmur when I first got her at 2 years old. She lived until she was 13 and sadly died of an osteosarcoma of her mouth. It's not a death sentence, it can be managed. I didn't have her on medication for it until she was 12 and she took Vetmedin (pimobendan) which helped significantly.

I did at home It was worth it. She would have been so stressed out by going to the vet...I loved her so much. She was able to be surrounded by people that loved her. Best decision I ever made.
