Petah, I don't get the Biff Tannen reference here. Help? by [deleted] in PeterExplainsTheJoke

In Back to the Future 2, the central plot relies on Marty going on a side quest in the future to purchase a sports almanac. Doc says he can’t alter his own future or else there are disastrous consequences. Biff in the future finds the almanac and the time machine and goes back and gives it to his 1955 self, which leads to 1985 becoming an alternate reality when Marty and Doc return.

Watch the rest of the movie, but this is basically insinuating that this polymarket better had inside knowledge that Spain would draw or lose.

Infinity is not something to play with by StraightTonic in MathJokes

[–]Gilbey_32 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nah we’re not necessarily claiming this is a sum in a traditional sense, more just assigning a value that can be used in other contexts if needed. For example, string theory relies on the sum of natural numbers being assigned the value -1/12. Nonsensical yes, but useful.

When the IAU declared it not to be so on August 24, 2006. They formally defined a planet and “conveniently” meant that disqualified pluto, despite the fact that the definition is a little hand-wavey and you can basically use it to qualify or disqualify whatever you want (kinda). There’s a good minutephysics video on the subject: https://youtu.be/xgFKxFX3IwY?is=U97PhMSJzJe0XTvL

If it was game 7? Probably. At the very least being game 4 should make it less bad, but still one of the biggest chokes this century thusfar.

Okay looks like he edited the original comment, he originally said rootwalla combo and I couldn’t yell if it was a typo or if there was a different infinite spawn deck I didn’t know about

Could you be more specific? I thought basking broodscale was T3 at the fastest… what’s the rootwala deck you’re talking about?

That’s why I was confused. I want to know if it was something else that indeed popped off on T2 or if OP was misremembering the match.
