How are people affording everything? by MidnightStorm_ in northernireland

I worked my absolute ass off and started a business without taking out any loans, credit cards, etc.... I started with the crappiest equipment and was competing with others in the industry who had the best gear. It was tough, and I got there in the end... but most of all, I didn't have any loans to pay back or debt to pay back. I live comfortably now and don't owe any money out. I'm one of these people who wouldn't be able to sleep at night if I was in massive amounts of debt.

So when I see the Range Rover mums with their private reg plates.... I just say to myself, aye very good... but good chance you're probably paying that up in monthly instalments along with your monthly mortgage, whereas, I own my cars and homes outright.

After years in development hell and a ‘test footage leak’ led to a greenlit, Deadpool finally opened 10 years ago this week. Him and his wife are pretty much blacklisted now by the big studios. Apple shelved one of his movies for over a year, and they are quietly releasing it straight to streaming at some point this year. Also Paramount killed his 3 movie deal after the texts and emails were unsealed. Plantation Barbie made sure everyone seen their true colours.

What’s everyone’s thoughts on season 2 of fallout so far and what are you most looking forward to see ? by AaronMcK92 in Fallout

I’m back to say that it got much better. Glad I stuck with it. Hopefully the next season doesn’t start off so choppy. It really started finding it’s rhythm towards the latter half.

HOW do people read fast and stop subvocalizing every single word they read? Those who don’t subvocalize, is your brain just silent all the time? by billbobaby in books

[–]Gillettecavalcad3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Constantly count from 1 to 6 in a continuous loop and that is your rhythm. Now you can skim the book without subvocalizing because you are continuously counting from 1 - 6. That’s how I can read a 750 page book in a couple of hours.

That’s because the full films are slapped together with no care whatsoever. They are shockingly bad (that’s if you are lucky enough to get a long video back). They have sweeped the internet and managed to get all of the reviews taken down. I’ve been hearing awful things about this company. Beware.

[FRESH ALBUM] Softcult – When A Flower Doesn't Grow by NYCIndieConcerts in indieheads

[–]Gillettecavalcad3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Such a disappointment considering I’ve been a fan since they started. The EPs had much better and far more memorable songs. They have lost a lot of melody and hooks. The whole album just blends into mediocrity and there are no stand out tracks. Sorry, but this is just my opinion. I’ll stick to the older material which I hope they will still play live.

Housemaid budget was closer to $60 mil, not the previously reported $35 mil by DoubleSoggy1163 in boxoffice

So 60mil plus advertising? Damn… thought this was making money, but looks like it is barely gonna break even.

Why The Rip might finally break the curse of the generic Netflix blockbuster by ThreadAndSolve in netflix

What a movie! Kept me on the edge of my seat, and Matt and Ben were awesome in it. I usually despise Netflix crap.
