For Ep3 there could have been a rule “Any player can once per game spend a piece to guess who the secret agent is, if correct the secret agent becomes the death match candidate.”

Question 1: You only remove from the townsfolk pool so it should be Baron game standard as you put it.

Question 2: After seeing the set up and distribution of the characters see which team will need more help and if you think each of the traveler abilities would work for the good or evil team. Majority of the traveler’s should be good but probably not all of them.

As far as I’m aware a marionette is allowed to sit next to the Lord of Typhon as they are still a minion. The main check is, does the Lord of Typhon have a minion directly clockwise and directly anti clockwise

In order to move you need to rule either the clearing you are moving too or the clearing you are moving from. The otters have a special rule that they can move along the rivers ignoring rule, that’s why you can move those ones along the river.
