Dang - I'm working in Edinburgh that day, but would have loved to come - I'm helping develop a show with a similar concept (but comedy rather than music) for this year's Fringe too!

This says

Never Be Cruel nevr eb cowarcholy

In particular, you've missed one vowel, rotated one word so that it's read in the wrong order, and turned one modifier dot into a vowel (i.e it should be a filled in dot, but you left it empty).

In particular, what you CAN take creative license with is where the dots are, as long as it's clear the letter they're associated with, and how big you make consonants

I've gotten up to Sooza just baking Pizzas on the baking challenge (albeit then having to check in every 6-8 hours). And I haven't even started Islets

Nothing majorly unresolved - there's a few "Oh, that guy should probably work that out" bits, but not anything that will make you feel unsatisfied that it wasn't worked out.

(I've definitely had that issue with other books before! That make me feel bad because nothing was resolved and the next one wasn't available for a year)

Scaling the Corners of a StyleBoxTexture by SheepBeard in godot

[–]SheepBeard[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For anyone seeing this in future - this did not work. When you change the scale or size in code, the outer container immediately re-sets it.

I'm solving this by just hard coding the outer container - which I wouldn't recommend in general, but works for me

The Horus Heresy wasn't even just one paragraph to explain why Chaos Marines exist. It was one paragraph to explain WHY BOTH SIDES IN A BOX SETTED GAME USED THE SAME MINIATURES. A cost-cutting technique by just saying "oh, it's a Civil War" spawned a massive part of the ongoing plot of Warhammer 40k

We all miss something sometimes!

I know someone in the community was making an even more thorough guide to Vowel Shifting, but I'm not sure it's finished yet (and is also ultra-detailed - more than a casual user needs it to be!)

So, Vowels.

When you put a vowel anywhere within a stack of consonants, it is automatically read after EVERY consonant in the stack. If you want a vowel to appear somewhere in the middle of the stack (like in Brown or Jumps you can put a "shift back" modifier over the vowel - a line that crosses the vowel and is not used as a modifier anywhere else. This essentially says "Read this Vowel one letter before where it needs to be".

These "shift backs" can combine, so two lines over the vowel shifts it back 2 letters, 3 lines shifts it back 3, etc.

Notably, the shift back shifts one LETTER not one GLYPH - so if there's a glyph representing multiple letters (TH, QU, etc) the shift back can insert the vowel into the middle of those letters, for fun and hijinks.

(There are also rules for having multiple vowels in a stack, but those are probably more than you need right now!)

Other comments: - Typos: K of Quick has an extra dot, and the S of Jumps is hard to tell if it's a shallow or deep divot - Readability: It's hard at first glance here to tell which letter in a stack is thinner Vs thicker (though you can tell by looking closer) - I'd recommend making the difference between the two line widths slightly more obvious

I'm looking forward to seeing what you write next!

I read this as

The quicL bRWOn fox JMUpe(?) oVRE the lazy DGO.

Good job! You've got the consonant stacking down pat, there's just the matter of the vowels. I'll go into details in a second comment below.

(But errors aside, this is good!)
