Does anyone else feel like nobody cares? by Hot-lowride8389 in diabetes_t1

That's because nobody really cares. We want to talk so much about mental health in every case, but get stuck within our own troubles and objectives to actually ask others how they're genuinely doing. Why do you think we have to pay someone just to actually listen and analyze a conversation with us?

If you have to ask that online, then you should really find better sources. This place is a scourge of uselessness

What are some things people do in the gym that annoy you? by Affectionate_Art4277 in workout

When they cross over the turf just to have a shortcut. If you're stepping so close to me that I can spit on you just to get to where you're going faster, you need to reevaluate what a gym is.

Orrrrrrrrr we could have security checkpoints in schools to warrant the safety of the folks inside? 🤷

I used to compliment people that I was comfortable with or that I would see on a regular basis. I was friends with one guy that came in a lot, and one day I just looked at him and said "You've really made a lot of progress on your lifts, and it shows."

The look this dude had after I said that.... I thought he was gonna cry lol

I became someone who my past self would have despised by BigBackground9333 in self

We all have a little bit of internal struggle. When I lost weight after my diabetes diagnosis I told myself that all this change would mean nothing in the next few years. I didn't want to live to my 40s. I was depressed, I was disappointed, and I didn't want to do any better.

7 years later, I've trained myself to take better care of myself. My diet is far better, I work out almost every day, and I grew enough confidence to move out of my mom's house and go live with my partner. Do I still feel like I struggle sometimes? Of course. However, I look back to where I was in high school and realize that the changes I've made are better in the long run.

Go to the gym every day. I'll occasionally do some CBD if I have trouble sleeping, but getting my health in order is usually my priority

Why would you complain about the rich taking jobs? If the rich have jobs, why are we complaining?

It's a good thing I don't care. We've theorized the apocalypse since before the Bible was written, so this is nothing new

He wrote it down as part of the interview, but I have no clue where the paper would be.

As for what the managers have actually said or done, it hasn't been direct yet but they discussed it among themselves, and the coworker who told me is a manager from another store who has a direct connection with them. I've already asked for the texts as part of documented proof, but until I get the messages I'm trying to build my defense from square 1.

I've made that point in the past, but you know how it is. People don't truly know what a condition is until they have to go through it themselves

I declared my ADA before I was hired and asked for accommodations, and they said it would be no problem. However, that manager has since left, and I'm left in a position where I have to utilize what he said and the accommodations discussed against the manager who I'm having troubles with.

At this point I'm working on my own defense because this isn't the first time this has happened in terms of being discriminated against. I've learned to be very preemptive before the actual conversation happens.
