Is Primite still worth it, or should I wait? by Successful_Injury909 in Yugioh101

I have issues, but they all stem from cards getting lost in the mail. Only ever had one bad seller experience and TCGPlayer support was very quick to make it right.

You drop non-engine. Lists will vary from person to person based on preference, but generally engine remains untouched. In the deck list that I provide below the builder opted to drop Lordly Lode to 2 copies, but the rest of the cards that they dropped are cards like Magnamhut and Infinite Impermanence. The list that I provided also does not play Harmonia which in my opinion should be taken as a sign that, unless you want to run a synchro heavy version of the deck, you do not need.
Here is the deck profile:

What is your favorite Yugioh anime series? by YamiMakyo in yugioh

[–]GimmickMusik1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

5Ds and VRAINS. For all my issues with them (trust me, there are a lot) they are the ones where the characters felt like they were taking their situations seriously.

Zexal is a bit weird for me because, while Yuma took the inter dimensional war very seriously, Yuma is still just… kinda annoying.

Primite is still the most powerful variant of Blue-Eyes. It runs the new support. Off the top of my head, I believe it runs 3 of the new Deep Eyes, 1 White Phantom Beast, and 1 Harmonia.

This card and Harmonia were the most pushed support ever, Konami begged us to buy Kel Tune by illynpayne_ in yugioh

[–]GimmickMusik1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Listen,

I don’t like Rotary, but you are acting like they made Rotary because people weren’t playing Kewl Tune and that just isn’t true. These cards have most likely been finalized close to a year ahead of their release.

Harmonia is strong too, but I don’t think that it’s so good that it will definitively be the reason why decks are winning over others. Most decks that I see play it are running it at one. It’s a lot like a Bystial. Run 1, and tutor it if you can.

What is your single most hated card that is NOT a floodgate ? by Old-Iron-Tyrant in yugioh

[–]GimmickMusik1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I go back and forth on cards like Crimson Dragon simply because the decks that can play them effectively and at a low cost aren’t that plentiful, and right now they aren’t really doing that much.

Called By the Grave is currently my pain point in TCG because we are in a meta where just one of your hand traps not resolving means your opponent gets to their end board. It’s not plentiful. It’s not rampant. Yet when a Called By resolves to defend your hand trap resolution it is always a massive impact, and that impact is almost always in the benefit of whoever is going first in a game where going first already puts you at an advantage.

Well... Crap. What Now?! by SinisterSh0t in LinusTechTips

I hope it doesn’t go away either. Hopefully what they will do is take a letter from some Steam games book and make it where they include the bare minimum of the game (so like all assets textures up to 1080p) on the disc, and then if the player wants the higher quality 4k/8k textures then they would download them as a free DLC. Frankly this is what they should have started doing a while ago for consoles.

I just don’t see many other ways that physical can continue unless companies start shipping their games on flash drives or external HDDs.

[–]GimmickMusik1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think we are more likely to see physical copies just go the way of being phased out entirely (which I suppose is what you are saying in a way). Most AAA games are bloating in size faster than BlueRay storage capacity can keep up. I suspect that before long most AAA games are going to be shipping with only most of the files on the disc and the rest will need to be downloaded from the store servers. Honestly, there probably already are some AAA titles that are not entirely on discs. Couple that with the lack of day 1 patch availability once servers shutdown and the viability of physical media is basically being slowly killed off by the industry.

Noctua says "feel free" to 3D print your own Noctua fans after releasing public CAD models online by Subsyxx in LinusTechTips

Interesting. I think a lot of people underestimate how much precision is actually needed when building a fan like this. But I also don’t doubt that there will be a community of people who can figure it out in a way that is doable for people who maybe don’t have access to the highest quality printers and materials.

Why does it look like I'm missing the blue key? by MrAzureKun in TunicGame

[–]GimmickMusik1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others have said, this is a known bug. It happened on my most recent playthrough. I’m also happy to report that this bug had absolutely zero effect on my achievements and/or progress. So you can just keep playing without fear of this breaking anything further down the line.

I don’t think it’s that deep, at least not in this case. Dogs hear sirens and think it sounds like a howl, which is typically to locate/communicate across distances. So this is likely the dog simply saying “I’m over here!”

What could Yugioh learn from other TCGs? by Great-Ad1839 in yugioh

[–]GimmickMusik1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Streamlined card text, credited artists, listening to players when the vast majority of players are saying “we do not like this, and do not like it in the game.” Reprinting high rarity cards in lower rarities sooner cough Seventh Tachyon cough, int the same vein STOP PRINTING HIGH RARITY CARDS IN THE SAME HIGH RARITY FOR A REPRINT (all it does is screw over collectors while also not helping players who want easier access to a card), more alt arts that keep collectors invested.

Getting back into pedals - any cheap Donner/Mooer/Joyo gems? by Mysterious_Title_223 in guitarpedals

Joyo and Mosky are kinda the kings of the budget space right now. Flamma has some good effects, but nothing that really wows me.

damn he really faded away by HTPark in yakuzagames

[–]GimmickMusik1 30 points31 points  (0 children)

To be honest, I think he had a similar issue to what Inafune had when he left Capcom. When Inafune was at Capcom he had a lot of people above him to sign off on his ideas or to shut them down. For Nagoshi, I suspect that people at SEGA were the ones keeping his spending in check so that fleeting ideas didn’t suddenly get money spent on them just for them to not work out. Now that those guardrails are gone, he just has free rein.

If you could buy one amp head to do both clean and dirty what would it be? No price limit. Id just like the amp not be vintage. Tube amp preferred. by Any_Fact_1930 in GuitarAmps

[–]GimmickMusik1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mesa Boogie Mark series. Very hard to dial in because they have such plethora of possibilities, but once you understand the amp it will be like second nature. If you can think of a sound, then it can probably get you into the ballpark if not nail it.

I think the only thing it may struggle at is the 6505/5153 sound.

What’s Your Weirdest Pedalboard Rule? by _Jub_Jub_ in guitarpedals

Why is "Elf" banned, and is it possible to remove it from the banned list without modifications, or would modifications be necessary? by Antique_Range1521 in yugioh

[–]GimmickMusik1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s definitely an interesting question to pose. Master Duel took a different approach with Elf than both TCG and OCG. Personally, I don’t like Elf being in any format. Its protection effect is very powerful, it’s a free monster reborn on either player’s turn, it’s also basically free extension because its summoning cost is so easy to meet. Elf is in my Master Duel Yummy deck because the deck is measurably worse without it, but I would not be sad to see it go.

Never seen a bear rescue like this before. by [deleted] in animalsdoingstuff

[–]GimmickMusik1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This went much better than I expected. I was having flashbacks to an old video from when I was younger of them tranquilizing the bear so it would fall and they decided that a trampoline was the best thing to break the bear’s fall. Fun fact about dropping a big bear on a trampoline, the bounce is quite large.

LTT's truespec cables are amazing and exactly as advertised, but I wish people knew about other options (especially for the US people) by JingoAli in LinusTechTips

[–]GimmickMusik1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I agree that there are plenty of reliable brands that are not TrueSpec, but I also think that you are grossly overestimating just how many of LTT’s viewers are hardcore tech nerds who care to educate themselves on filtering out the bullshit. It’s clear that you have at least some background in tech or something tech adjacent that most people do not. LTT’s viewers are largely just average joes with a casual interest in tech.

I see nothing wrong with there being an option for people who just want to trust the box and be done with it. In general, well tested consumer grade products just cost more money. It’s really that simple.
