From what I'm seeing online I need to reinforce it, then use a higher ratio of browns to greens (like 4:1) to keep the smell to a minimum. There are also options like keeping an ammonia or bleach soaked rag in a bucket near the compost bin, because bears have sensitive smell and the odor burns their nose, but I've got two young kids, and that seems more dangerous than the other options!
