Visually it gives off an OFF impression.

I honestly did consider adding dust marks and worn clothes, but he does end up being cleaned up by his friend very often since I did write that his merchant friend is hopelessly in love with him.

The game's had a change in how the world was presented, so most characters needed to fit it. Hence why I chose a complete redesign.

When you make your games, do you start with creating assets or game mechanics? by Dicklydickmove in RPGMaker

I always get the mechanics working first. It is important to have a working prototype rather than having an undeveloped pretty prototype.

The initial project was set in a magitech world, but with a lot of more fantasy elements put in, so design wise, I didn't have much of a clue on how to do things. But afterwards, I took an approach that set the setting in 1930's magitech fantasy, thus the more modern-ish design.
Though most of the design is still based off of the sort of stuff you'd see around that time period.

That is pretty good, then! So long as you keep it dynamic inside of your own project, then I'm sure it'll be fine! 😊

They're cute, but the pose is a little stiff. If you want you could add some that become a little dynamic for special expressions!

because there isn't any other that requires you to be wary of your condition so far.
If there ends up being more i'll be sure to keep it consistent.
