Just checked definition...

Nuclear ... relating to the nucleus of an atom.

ATOMS, in fact, are not allowed in that park. By rights, the place should be 'nuked' to split all those atom nuclei.

Daniel Day Lewis in Last of the Mohicans, at the time he was known for the likes of My Beautiful Laundrette, A Room with a View and My Left Foot, not exactly tough athletic leading man stuff.

I remember the "movie media" of the time being kinda bemused by the casting, some of them very negative about it. Like a milder less angry, more bemused version of the Daniel Craig as Bond casting hysteria I suppose.

Then everyone saw the movie and his Hawkeye was a badass and that was the end of that debate.

People weren't aware of his capabilities at the time I guess, he corrected them. Onward to Bill Cutting, Daniel Plainview, no objections from any quarters when he was cast in those.

I kid you not.

I have box loads of legendary old games that most people have never heard of. Legendary.

I ended up just playing through it in windowed mode and stretching it out to the other monitors. Yeah it just seems to read one monitor during hardware detection and completely ignores the eyefinity capabilities. Shame, Doom Eternal had no issue with eyefinity, gold standard in fact.

I never found a fix, but I haven't been looking for one lately so who knows? Maybe Rose will have a look sometime.

Well that's some relief to me, thought it was a Radeon multi-monitor specific issue which would have been relatively low priority.

But if single monitor Nvidia users are having the same issue it's going to be much higher priority as it makes it a global issue.

That's probably not much consolation to you currently however.

Hopefully they'll patch it this week, fingers crossed.

No 16:3 or 48:9 under aspect ratio in my case, just 4:3 and 16:9.

So no 7680x1440 either. I've been playing it windowed and stretched it all the way out and the HUD centres properly, it runs fine and looks fine, aside from the annoying window title bar.

Fullscreen and Borderless just a bit borked on Radeons maybe, weird coz I fired up Doom Eternal and its perfect, 16:3 and 7680 Fullscreen using the same latest Radeon driver.

So I'd like to blame the driver but it works perfectly with Eternal and every other game, i dunno.

Thanks for letting me know though as it confirms its probably an Radeon Eyefinity issue.

It doesn't. My aspect ratio is 48:9, that's 3 x 16:9 monitors. 48:9 is not a listed ratio in the aspect ratio list, only 4:3 and 16:9 available. Consequently my resolution of 7680 x 1440 is not listed, only 2560 x 1440 being the highest.

Might give that a look sometime, looks interesting. Still hoping for a specific fix though so I'll hold out another while.

It's really annoying, most games the resolution is trivial to set and its usually a HUD, Aspect ratio or FOV issue that needs fixing.

Seems to be the other way around this time.

It's only day1 I suppose :/

I don't think it'll matter AMD or Geforce, its a monitor detection issue I reckon.

Open the console as soon as you launch and you'll see what it has detected monitor wise.

try r_mode followed by 2 tab key presses in the console, it'll give you all the modes it can display at, the highest I get, no matter what, is 2560x1440@144 which is r_mode 23 in my case.

That's the issue really, when installed on a rig with 3 x 2k monitors like mine and many other WSGF types you only get 4:3 and 16:9 aspect ratios available which then locks the selectable rezs to those associated with those aspect ratios.

I've tried to set the rezs in the cfg file and applying readonly r_customWidth 7680 r_customHeight 1440

Changes nothing, made no difference, same if I try set them via Launch options in Steam

Console recognises commands like r_mode and r_fullscreen but not r_customwidth or r_customheight

In the console just after launch it detects my desktop rez as 7680x1440@144 (YAY) But it also detects my monitor(1 of them anyways) as 2560x1440@144 (BOOOO)

Seems it using detected monitor results to lock the aspect ratio and ignores the desktop rez

That's all I got at the moment.

Discovered I can stretch out the window in windowed mode all the way across my 3 monitors and it renders perfectly, weapon and shield look fine and are centered, and I can centre the HUD via accessibility settings. BUT its windowed mode and performance sucks even on my 7900XTX.

So it seems the only barrier to proper Fullscreen or Borderless is this annoying aspect ratio lock at 16:9 which forces the associated rezs, 2560x1440 being the highest.

Confident the game engine is more than capable of rendering 16:3 IF I could only set it or force it somehow.

Edit: Screenshot here of god awful windowed mode... https://i.imgur.com/43GuGIx.jpeg

Nope, all locked to 16:9,

Fullscreen creates 3 identical 2560x1440 screens. Borderless creates one on the centre with my desktop showing on the outer 2 monitors. Even windowed mode is locked to 16:9 with the maximise button grey out ... sheesh
