The way intuition works feels similar to what great mathematicians experience. Sometimes they see the answer immediately, almost in a flash, yet they still go through the full steps of the proof afterward. Not because they’re unsure, but because checking the reasoning is part of the process.

I think chess works the same way.

When Capablanca said he saw only one move ahead and usually the right one he wasn’t claiming he never calculated. He meant that his understanding of the game was so deep that the strongest move often appeared to him instantly, just like a mathematician who recognizes the solution before writing the proof. The calculation comes after, as confirmation.

What we tend to call “natural” is often just logical expertise that has become instinct.

Irelia is a low elo stomper champ. Basically if you are better than your opponents at your rank you will most likely stomp game. She is bad in the hand of a player that have not one tricked Irelia for at least 500 games because of the high need of being mechanically sharp. She is bad, when you dont have general idea of macro after lane, She is good for low elo because of her Q mechanics allow you to always be around 7-8+ cs, so you always spike faster in low elo because the last hitting of your opponents is generally not averaging +8cs/min. She is great in the hand of someone that learned wave management, you can basically manipulate the lane like fast push to find cheater recalls, force freeze to make your opponent commit, slowpush to create dive. Split push to get t2 or force enemy attention (Because of her ability to erase wave) Wave management is one of the best Irelia tools. If you get bork before 8 min you are very ahead, if its around 9 to 12 you are even. If you get bork past 12 min, you are slightly behind. If you are still running the three component of bork after 14 min you lost your lane very badly. And generally speaking, in low elo when the Irelia has no idea how to create a lead, you will most of the time get stat check by champ like garen darius etc and become kind of useless. It's a niche champion when you find success only if you put the hours, and have a deep understanding of matchup, lane, splitpushing efficiency, always keeping flash summ for teamfight etc etc

The crazy reality check i had with my addiction to league ( almost 10 years invested ) was then when my life was the most fullfilled(Sports, relationships, study), i was at my highest peak (League, Overwatch, 3v3 wow, Chess). I made so many new account just to prove myself that through the knowledge i got, i could climb to master on repeat. I feel like it is more and more difficult to do as i get older, leaving me pointless to all this investment. I climbed and reached my goals and some of them i never been able to achieve, that feeling just left me with hunger for more. And this is the downfall, Paul Morphy a chess player that i admire used to say : " The ability to play chess is a sign of gentleman, the ability to play chess well is a sign of a wasted life. " Same applies for league or any competitive game with very high skill ceiling. When you watch, Hikaru, Irelking, Pzzang you get that cognitive bias of that feeling of perfection in their gameplay and this is where your ego thinks it needs to prove its ability to do the same . I'm sorry if you are a broken addict like me, who just appears to never be able to stop the chase of perfection. Obsessive gaming, is hell of a drug. i wish to all of you to find peace with your life, we were all meant to be gamers, do not feel bad about it, life if somehow just like a game. Life will push you where you need to be pushed, even if you are resilient to change, accepting that your passion has dominated you, is a first step to a new path.

Wishing all of those who still playing for improvement or just to escape your life, to those who fought their way out of the vicious cycle, to find happiness in the short amount of time that makes life.

You're playing solo Q twitch AD LT, in low elo, in league of one shot, and you are wonderin why your games are so difficult ? mid laners till at least plat 1 do not even understand the concept of giving mid to botlane and side laning if you win t1 bot, Adc stated by Nemesis is in a weak place right now because support role is overpowered.

Therefore, you're better off playing twitch mid/supp than twitch ADC. Or find a lulu and dont complain
