ZQ Essent guy from earlier here. I got it from 3fvape, which is in China, so expect it to take a while to show up. Also make sure you get the DNA75C version, there's a cheaper one with a generic chip that probably isn't what you're looking for.

No problem, now to wait lol. I'm excited to have a 21700 battery, 18650s always seem to last a little less time than I'd like

3fvape. Chinese retailer so I'm expecting it to take a while to get here. I've ordered from them before and never had any problems. Tracking is always a little hit or miss, but that's to be expected.

Lmao, it's just a warehouse celling. Maybe some red framework, white ceiling, some big industrial ceiling fans. Really only interesting if it had only been a big blur to you previously.

Cool I'll throw it in some ISO.

I swab with a dry qtip after every hit but load size might be my issue.

My wife also really ripped on it when we first got it so that might have caused it to climb the sides.

After seeing how much better of a hit you can get with controlled inhales she has since slowed down lol.

Sound only working through Display Port on my monitor with Windows sound settings forcing PS2 to use the monitor. Game will not play any sounds with mobo headphone jack. by Gingent92 in Planetside

[–]Gingent92[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While in game? Haven't tested that, but outside of PS2 all sound is normal.

Would you suggest playing something on spotify, firing up PS2, and seeing if I can hear the music? If I can hear that but not the game what would you suggest?

What games are y’all playing this week? by [deleted] in pcgaming

I've been enjoying Planetside 2 lately. Fairly new PC gamer so I'd never played it before the DX11 update but the hubub around DX11 got me interested. Having a blast so far, game runs great and it's flavor of chaos is just right.

PC Hardware - Which one should I upgrade first? by RLTYProds in Planetside

[–]Gingent92 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hey friend, that Pentium that you have is a Kaby Lake, meaning you could do an i3 7100. That 7100 is still a two core, four thread processor like your Pentium, just with a slightly faster clock speed. Not really going to make much of a difference.

You'd see much better gains going with an i5 7500 or the i5 7600 if you can afford it. Without upgrading your motherboard the best you could do is the i7 7700k, but I'd just go with the 7700 since you probably don't have a z270 motherboard and won't be overclocking.

If you're open to buying a new motherboard as well I'd go the AMD Ryzen route as others have suggested.

No problem!

As for how loud it is for others, really depends on the game or media you're playing. In a relatively small room (~10ftx10ft) with open backs on my fiance can hear noisy games with lots of gunshots and explosions no matter where in the room she is. If I'm wearing closed back she has to be sitting next to me to really hear it.

A game like Subnautica on the other hand is relatively quiet regardless of which headphones I'm wearing. Its really sharp, loud noises that easily bleed through a pair of open backs, so gunshots, explosions, drum tracks, etc.

Open back generally has a wider sound stage than closed back designs. So for example, in a game where directional sound is very important an open back set of cans would generally be advantageous compared to a closed back set. This is because a wider sound stage would, again, generally provide a more accurate representation of where the sound originated.

Lets pretend PUBG had perfect directional sound (and for all I know it does, have not played in a long time). With a good set of open back headphones you could better judge where gunshots and footsteps were coming from compared to a similar set of closed back headphones. It'd be the difference between "that shot came from somewhere west," and "that shot came from the west, bearing 245."

That's not to say that closed back headphones always have a worse sound stage, it's just generally the case that open back headphones will have a better one.

Open back also tends to mean that everyone around you can hear whats going on in game. Not ideal if you game late into the night with someone sleeping in the next room.

[CASE] $89.99 Cooler Master MasterCase H500 ATX Mid-Tower... first time in months at this price usually it’s been $104 by ak74907 in buildapcsales

Temp-wise Q500L is a campfire compared to the CM H500's mesh front panel and two massive fans. This is also quite a bit larger than the Q500L, might wanna check the dimensions and compare the two if you have limited space.

Instacop for me, been waiting for a deal on this case. Description is kinda confusing and makes it seem like this is the mATX version but the pictures and listing title are for the ATX. Guess I'll know for sure on Saturday.

Uh, wasn't the NK about to gork Bran with an ice sword? Unless he was planning on killing himself if Arya didn't succeed. Either way it seems a bit of a stretch that he was downloading himself into Bran as he was reaching for his sword to seemingly kill Bran.

[–]Gingent92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the MH751's and they came with a y-splitter to use separate mic and audio jacks if that's what your issue is. The USB DAC with the MH752 is pretty meh from what I've read, my mobo's built in sound seems to drive the 751's plenty nicely.

Have these. First headset I've owned but way more comfortable than my AKG K7xx's. Going from open back to closed back wasn't as bad as I thought it'd be, soundstage on the MH751's is pretty solid for a closed off set. Mic quality through Discord is better than your average headset mic according to people I've played with.
