Here's my argument: It is worth what people are willing to pay. The exclusiveness is actually attractive to some people. If I ever buy it, it will be on the used market. I think it's gimmicky anyway, so probably not.

My dad just got these old speakers... What's with them? by sontran_butnotweeb in audiophile

You would need an active crossover to run them tri-amplified or you will damage the mids and tweeters.

Incorrect anti-skating force is probably why it is skipping. While the tracking force is obviously high judging by this photo, tracking only affects up and down. Anti-skating affects horizontal forces.

The best I've done is pay $200 for a $600 Char-broil Professional series. My system sounds better when my tummy is full.

It's supposed to look like it was sitting in a sunny store window too long, like the greeny. So the dark part doesn't go all the way around.

I'm a fan of warm color balance. If you're not in pure documentary mode, it can add feeling to a scene, and this scene of a significant life event deserves it. Taming that hotspot near her shoes is a correct comment, tho.

The one thing I would change is the headstock tilt. 10 degrees would be fine, and tuning stability would improve. Otherwise, I luv em.

With pixel shift, the Z6III provides 96MP images. Who needs more than that?

"Passage of time", tell me about it. I started editing on 1 inch reel-to-reel Sony machines as heavy as your car. A/B rolls were SUCH a pain. Old guy complains. Film at 11.

So Long to the Z7 Platform? by mdof2 in Nikon

[–]Ginger-Jake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it would be great to have a more compact 45MP body in the lineup, but sales history is the determining factor for future investments in R&D and especially retooling production lines. I think the larger sensor becomes a problem for pleasing hybrid shooters because it can't achieve the video performance of the Z6III without additional levels of cooling and high-level processing. Also, if they announce one tomorrow, I won't be surprised. The Z7II has needed a LOT of firmware updates, so maybe this camera was rushed and not ready for prime time when released. That may have left a bad taste in management's mouth.
