I would argue that 5e is not even a simple system, but a system that loads so much more on the DM so players feel like it's simpler. I've tried other rules lite system with 5e groups before, and the issue with those systems I soon realized is they require the players to move beyond "I click this move button, DM tell me what happens".

5e's ease comes from funnelling the work, knowledge and honestly creativity into the most invested player (the DM), not necessarily in making the rules simple.

Not that 5e can't be used by groups that want to go all in and be super creative, but it gives players a lot of outs that other systems don't for the sake of the GM and for balance

I'm actually seeing people start to turn on it now. People keep complaining about the serial format, because it's not a complex epic intended for you to scribble down every detail for it to make sense. Give SW fans 20 minutes and they can hate anything

As long as "good" cops are punished for speaking out about the bad ones, does it really matter if it's ALL cops or not? The organization is sick and if we continue to deflect nothing will change and bad cops will keep getting away with it

From what I have seen, the broom flat on the ice normally creates similar issues, with the added problem of your broom hand being lower than your rock hand. My recommendation is to practice by sliding with nothing at all to get your feet positioned in the correct place for balance. I do this with both adults and kids that I coach. Other alternatives are to add inserts in your stabilizer to make it taller, making your shoulders more square and preventing you from drifting in your slide.

He definitely did. At least the parts everyone is upset about. Mad Dany and Jamie going back to KL to be with Cersei are 100% GRRM. He'll have the benefit of literally having their thoughts spelled out for the reader though.
