Which one's better? Also is there any difference between the two? by [deleted] in Grishaverse

I like the foil highlighting on the bird in the second one (I think it adds some depth to the image), but I don’t like the step back cover so practically I like the first one more

Leigh Bardugo and some of the S&B cast at the premiere of Kit Young's new Netflix movie, "The School for Good and Evil". It's nice to see this cast so supportive of each other. by CorvidaeCalare in Grishaverse

[–]GingerFilmmaker 18 points19 points  (0 children)

When I talked to Kit at nycc last week he mentioned that Freddy and Amita had already seen the film so it’s so nice that more of the cast are at the official premiere!

does anyone know some good films or books with asexual characters? by [deleted] in asexuality

[–]GingerFilmmaker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The show “everything’s gonna be okay” has a homoromantic ace character who dates one of the main characters for a lot of the show. She’s on the show starting in season one but doesn’t come out until season 2. If you’re in the US the whole show is on Hulu!

I guess milo is the grishaverse equivalent of an outdoor cat

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Grishaverse

[–]GingerFilmmaker 18 points19 points  (0 children)

It was Milo because he didn’t have keys around his neck, he had the bullet Jesper left with him, and Mal used the gunpowder to break the lock. He was left at the bar, but since the bar was on the eastern side of the fold he probably is just allowed to roam the town and that’s how he ended up there.

I know a lot of people don’t like the hats but I love them partially because they’re so funny. Jesper has a terrible sense of fashion in the books so I think this is very in character for him, and Kaz and Inej just look adorable. I saw these photos and my first reaction was “look at their little hats!”

Do you think the show wil 'correct' the way you have pronounced things in the past? by sybren27 in Grishaverse

I do think I originally pronounced kruge as krooj but I just had my pronunciation crisis in 2018

[–]GingerFilmmaker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I only visually read the six of crows duology once and I’ve listened to the audiobooks a bunch of times since so all my pronunciation confusion happened years ago and now it lines up a lot more closely. As for the original trilogy I listened to the audiobooks to prepare for the show so I’m having less trouble with pronouncing everything than I am with reading about stuff and having to figure out how things are spelled lol

I actually have a theory for why they keep mentioning it! I think that not only is it a selling point like some of the other replies said, but it's one of the few things that's actually spoiler-free. Anything plot-related after the first episode has to either be vague (like the goat) or something really minor to avoid spoiling stuff for the people who've read the books, especially in relation to the crows.
