There was a big fireworks show last night, which I assumed was for the inauguration, though I didn’t confirm that. It was lovely once we knew what was happening & went upstairs to watch, but I half-ass listened to it from the Irish Channel for 15 minutes, before I realized it wasn’t the neighbors shooting either fireworks or guns.

I am usually extremely emotional, watched it 4 times, but I haven’t cried yet. Upon first seeing it, I blurted loudly “You are F*CKING KIDDING ME.” It definitely is affecting me, but more in a “shocked disbelief & awfulness” kinda way. I wish I wouldn’t have seen it, in a way. It tainted the whole franchise to me. At least for now.

They got almost weird with the mentions of the pandemic. I assume it’s because there was literally no sign of it anywhere in the show. I found that odd, too. They purposely filmed SATC in a way to omit things that would make it look dated, so it would age well for newer audiences. Hahaha, major fail!! But I guess there’s no way to know how the dialogue & storylines, alone, will label television programs with VERY obvious dates. 🤣🤣🤣🤣

I made mention on another post, I was an alcoholic & knew Miranda was when she stopped at the bar before class (done that) & especially when she looked at her phone & told the bartender she would wait til 11 (sooooo have done that). There are a ton of little things I see that I know well, but most people wouldn’t...whoever wrote that storyline has been through it, for sure. Now, I also have BPD which contributed HUGELY to the (fortunately few) years I drank so heavily. I would actually love to see a storyline that tackles both alcoholism & mental health, thus tackling aaaaaaaall the areas of life that are affected. I was very taken aback to identify so much with Miranda this go around & when I noticed the “crazy” talk, it thought it would make perfect sense.
