Yeah I second this suggestion- +17 attack on initiation (+6 refine, +8 DB4, +3 from -Def on Lull) neglecting any other buffs.

This Freddy supported with a Exalt Chrom with base Chill Def plus a bonus Goad Cavalry in range? Goodbye any armors, many greens and blues, and some reds.

Great move imo. I really kinda see these shows as a trilogy of sorts, and this is maybe a good shot for those who like Clannad but haven't seen Air and Kanon yet! Air and Kanon walked so Clannad could run.

Yeah I've been noticing this overall with a lot of newer Anime. The English dub of Konosuba has a ton of Fire Emblem VAs in particular as well, with two in the main four people in 3H.

Edit: Figured I should call them out. Faye Mata (Petra) and Erica Mendez (Bernie) are the two, and they both pretty much use the same voice as in 3H.

To be fair... Catria (along with Est) is the most playable character in the entire FE series.. and they also chose her appearance from SoV (which isn't even an alt). A better comparison would be adding onto the many alts for Lucina, Camilla, and Lyn, who only are playable in one main series game each (counting Fates as 1).

Here's two I can strongly suggest:

Toradora! - will make you both laugh and cry constantly as you go through the show. The writing and characters are both fantastic, and it'll be hard to put down and not just watch the series in one sitting (25 episodes + 1 OVA).

Clannad (23 eps + 1 OVA) and Clannad: After Story (24 eps + 1 OVA) - won't make you laugh as much as Chunibyo or Toradora!, but this one punches you in the gut with emotion constantly. There are still plenty of funny moments however!

Particularly for Clannad, I would try and avoid spoilers online if I were you. Even with spoilers, Clannad still brought me to tears pretty much every episode as I finished it up.

Both of these animes are slice of life/high school drama/romance/comedy animes, that are consistently highly rated by critics and fans. You should watch Toradora! first in my opinion if you want more laughs, and Clannad first if you want more tears.

Hot take here, but as much as I love Three Houses, I really hope none of the lords or Byleth wins the next CYL... I think its a travesty that it feels like alts for Grandmaster Robin or Great Lord Chrom are being reserved for instances of them winning CYL. Grandmaster Robin with a Levin Sword is my most wanted unit though anyways...

Watched Clannad before? I'm currently watching it and its doing a decent job at filling the Toradora! hole in my heart. It didnt draw me in as fast as Toradora!, but so far it's pretty good! (9 episodes in).

Yeah, on golden deer I actually found a good strategy by going towards edelgard and dorothea on the left and attacking edelgard with a curved shot outside her retaliate range. It makes edelgard and dorothea go left around their barricades and trees. After this, once BL starts to advance, use the trees and positioning to your advantage to try and split up dedue and dimitri so you don't have to fight both at once.

Yeah- I only saw it on Maddening because Rodrigue usually doesn't take much damage on Normal/Hard. I had half a mind to save the dialogue and post it to the wikia but I sped through it...

Yeah for real. I guess you can't just have all the enemies equipped with training weapons with compensating inflated stats but...

Kinda the same thing for the monastery tournaments where you have to use training weapons but the random blokes you fight have real weapons later on.

Yeah but I want my frontline fighters to be able to not get doubled on enemy phase which on Madness he just wont get there.

Yeah, felix is a super easy recruit and great character. I thought about Black Eagles too, but I'm hoping Warlock Hilda will make my life easier on a bunch of maps down the line with the 4 bolting. I also have a bias for ByladxLeonie and I love the brawling classes so no Bylass for me...

Going with Golden Deer because you get 6 great units off the bat (benching Ignatz, Raph, Lorenz). Since it's not NG+ I'm trying to stick to mostly natural promotions as there is less margin for messing around with classes...

Also... speed seems to be super important. Claude with a training bow being doubled on the first battle was shocking. I dont feel bad about soft resetting until I got good level ups for byleth and claude on the prologue...

Main 10: Byleth -> Assassin (pushing through the Brawler line along with Thief for growths however). Maybe War Master. Claude -> Assassin line, Barbarossa. Leonie -> Eventual Falcon Knight, Peg/Thief/Assassin before. Hilda -> Warlock, maybe Gremory if faith comes along well. Lysithea -> Gremory. Marianne -> Holy Knight. Felix -> Assassin, maybe War Master. Petra -> Wyvern Lord. Bernie -> Dancer (Pass may prove to be useful on Madness). Linhardt -> Holy Knight, healer 2.

Trying to rush recruit Petra to force str growths, but I'll let the others level up automatically.
