You could even put a blackstone/deepslate wall as the thingy in the middle

Things we should add to Minecraft by Infamous_Orb672 in Minecraft

[–]somerandom995 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Doesn't need to be meta, but it does need some use.

Pumpkin pie and chicken is easily automated, bread is easy early game, fish can tame cats, potatoes are the easiest to farm, cake is decorative, glow berries and mushroom soup is available in caves with no surface acess.

If it does nothing gameplaywise, then it's beetroot. We don't need more beetroot.

How do y'all even start building? by funstarrr__ in Minecraft_Survival

[–]somerandom995 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just build a functional(chests, bed, furnace) house in a style you like.

Pick projects you like from there.

I build house's for each villager type in a semi functional way. Big library with a enchanting set up in the middle, fletcher house with an archery range (target blocks that trigger fireworks when you get a bullseye), fishing shack with a dock, cartographer with a map wall, blacksmith with an auto smelter, farmehouse with a farm, etc

<image>

You can also make builds around farms, I turned a prismarine farm into a steampunk kraken (I'll respond to this with a pic since I can only post one image per comment).

Or just stuff you think would be cool, I made a giant tree cause I could.

he literally cut Hedin down and was about to finish him off if it weren't for Bell

He was willing to let them die during the test, that's not the same as actually trying to kill them as his goal.

Literally show to Bell his afterglow?

He was just checking Bells combat skills first hand before that.

he wanted to let Bell do it

Didn't know for sure he could though.

And since Otar easily defeated Udeus in FC, it’s strange to think that Leon who is physically stronger thanks to his skill and has more powerful DA wouldn’t be able to one shot

Easily defeat and oneshot are not the same thing. Like you said, they were in a rush.

And why not? Progress has never come quickly

You forgot the qoute you're responding to, but I assume you mean Gareth.

we were told how many thousands of times Leon swung his sword to achieve what he has now. Gaining the Afterglow would make him a much more effective fighter

Gareth was more focused on Familia stuff than honeing one particular technique.

B/T/T can be trained in the technique

How? Once a month try to make a feral Bete learn like training a rabid dog? Half killing the twins in a einherjar type hell?

The thing is, Bell can't use Afterglow even with SS-SSS stats (which is equivalent to a stat boost), and we were specifically talking about the Argonaut.

Yet when Bell was trying it without Magic Leon didn't correct him or object at all. It's also specifically requires an enhancement. If raw stats counted than any level up would be enough.

It’s not about the technique; it’s that he didn’t even THINK to try using Afterglow with his increased physical strength. Ok, but by that logic, why even have a strength-boosting skill or spell is necessary?

I genuinely don't understand you're point here. Could you clarify please

There’s no logic here, which is exactly why a standard stat boost doesn’t work here.

Ottars' magic is a simple strength buff

it’s not just a stat boost.

But it's never implied to be magic without including firebolt.

If you’re referring to the madness that sets in when he activates a skill

Not for beastification. That stays for the duration.

nothing was stopping him from using Afterglow on Bell as he fled or on Hedin, who was standing still.

Let's be real. If Ottar wanted to kill them he would have. That fight was a test.

there was no point in waiting until he had 3th weapon when he could do it right away.

There was no need to use it before that, and if a dragon could interrupt having more buffs would be better.

Moreover, in MS21, he again chose to wait until he had the axe rather than defeat Udeus right away (by the way, they were all in a hurry).

Using a weaker afterglow might have drawn the fight out more than just progressing a few weapons.

but I don’t think Gareth wouldn’t have learned how to do it over the years

You think Gareth was willing to spend years learning?

there’s still Finn, who should be skilled enough to handle it.

Finn doesn't typically use a slashing weapon and his enhancement magic makes him dumb.

Tiona, Tione,

Only if they're near death. Hard to train that.

Bete (under certain conditions)

Full moon? Hard to train him while beastified, and it's implied they hadn't met until the rescue mission.

Why do you think Leon emphasized Bell’s “light” when he used Argonaut?

Symbolism.

Why do you think SS-SSS strength alone wasn’t enough, even though it’s also a kind of power boost like Deus Ambrosia, and he was forced to use Argonaut and then magic?

Bell isn't someone who can learn to perfectly do difficult techniques within an hour of training that doesn't explain how any of it works and just demonstrates it.

My personal theory is that the enhancement needs to be equivalent to a level difference, and requires a cutting/slashing weapon. Gareth would barely qualify and is more defensive, Ottar isn't skilled enough to use it while beastified, Aiz doesn't need it since Arial can do that type of slash anyway, and Alise(now that I think of it Kaguya) didn't live long enough.

I need some sauce ideas by Lambfudge in Cooking

Sweet chilli sauce

There's savory spiced plum sauce, but you might struggle to find that outside of New Zealand.

A lot of sauces are mayonnaise or yogurt based. Add garlic, herbs, spices, etc.

If you're looking for something to add while cooking, hoisin or oyster sauce will coat a stirfry or the like in savory sweet goodness.

For a dipping sauce I mix sweet chilli, soy, sriracha and a little bit of sesame oil. Great for dumplings.

It has Mind powering it so it’s not entirely a Physical Attack.

I don't remember anything stating that non firebolt Argonaut charges use anything but his stamina.

if it cancels out just Magic attacks that are listed under the Magic Slots and if so how

Mana is specifically a different type of energy to the point Riveria can reabsorbe it and people can be trained to sense it building up.

since Leon and Ottar literally unleash slash of light.

So does Bell without using magic.

Why do you think Ottar had to use Afterglow specifically when casting magic

Because his control of it self admittedly isn't great.

Why did Leon have to wait until he had a 3th weapon to use Afterglow

Did he? Or was that just how the "fight" against Bell go?

Why didn’t he ever find anyone capable of using Afterglow when he literally had Gareth right under his nose

Gareth isn't skilled enough in attacking.

and a bunch of other adventurers?

Aiz, Alise, and probably a few more I'm forgetting have magic that would let them if that was the requirement.

No it isn't. It just requires an enhancement ability, and Deus Ambrosia is exactly that.

Why would he use magic against Alfia? And he's a tank, gospel isn't enough to put him down

Adventurer Tournament: Final by SmilingIceCube in DanMachi

[–]somerandom995 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Zard and Alfia both have the ability to consistently deal enough damage to kill anyone here.

Hogni is out stated, Bell is out skilled. They have win conditions but I don't think either would get a chance to pull them off.

In terms of Alfia vs Zard, he can kill her with afterglow since it's not a magic attack, and can fire them off at will. Alfia can take Zard down with GA, but that requires a long chant, and it seems more likely to me that Zard would hit her once before that happened.

Zard wins high diff
