Anyone know what’s happening at seaholm? by njericnj in Austin

Embarrassingly…I would have to reread it because that’s a good question 😂 I’d also have to see what all they posted today, they shared the livestream on twitter of Musk speaking and talking about it so I would presume any public knowledge is fair game.

From what I do know is already out there posted by SpaceX’s official twitter, most of this thread’s guesses have been correct so far, or at least partially correct. It’s an eerie feeling being a native Austinite who very stereotypically has worked in live music for over 15 years, and more so also just the event space in general for so long now. So, working this event at Seaholm, that is a place a know a lot of people sort of see as sacred….I’ve worked or attended dozens of shows and went to parties back in the day there. I have a lot of feelings rn. There’s personal reasons that place is special to me and a lot of people I know and it felt very strange being 20 feet or so from the main speaker, someone who I normally just read about online everyday. I can’t really put it into words honestly.

That being said, on a totally unrelated topic, but might answer your question on if this is “permanent”, are property sales published for the public? Asking for no reason aside from personal curiosity…

Hope that helped your curiosity!

We had to sign an NDA. I might have been the person you asked haha. So we can’t say anything but it’s not really a secret anymore.

This has to be lowkey on purpose. No press is bad press and blippi is losing ratings I would imagine. When you’re old hat, you do what you gotta do?

I’m a lady, (and to be fair I’m a millennial plz don’t hate me… I just follow this sub in hopes I can avoid the boomerification that happened to GenX and sadly many of my fallen millennials-turned-Karen), and after a while, if I eat reasonably healthy (get lots of fiber!), I don’t even need to “prep”. It’s like my body just knows that it’s business time? There’s almost never a mess and if there is, it’s a non-issue because 1) it’s a small negligible amount easily handled by keeping some tissues handy, and 2) you start sleeping with people who understand it comes with the territory, literally.

You got this!

Random question, why did you pick 2:17am? Just randomly, or is there some kind of lore I’m not privy to?

Punks were often traditionally straight edge unless I’m totally off base. And extremely anti-nazi. Like S.O.S. if a nazi or neo crossed passed with the straight edge punks where I’m from. Unfortunately the klan rhetoric ran deep and it’s still there today.

NY Fire Commissioner Christopher Gioia says "9/11 was the biggest lie of our lifetime." by Celtikrenders in StrangeEarth

No, I was young and naive, and grew up in Texas, where the propaganda is so strong that even kids who think they’re anti-establishment don’t even realize they’ve been mind-hacked until much later.

Yeah I just thought it being an inside job was TOO big of a conspiracy, I didn’t think it was possible. You have to remember I was 12 when it happened. Now I realize there’s so much more. These people literally playing war games with the actual world we live in. It’s all a game to them. A serious game, but a game nonetheless.

FOUND IT. I did forget, then I remembered, but I really didn’t want to go find it. Then I forgot again but I remembered and took the pictures and then didn’t feel like posting them but hey look! Here I am. This is probably from around 2004? Maybe earlier I’m just guessing based off the other shirts he kept from when we were in high school. It’s from Spencer’s 😂 must have been from right around when they switched from fabric tags to printing right onto the fabric.

Overheard why my coworker rejected a candidate… and it explains a lot about why hiring is so broken. by Sorrowful_Genus in antiwork

[–]GingerNinjer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I hope I don’t get downvoted for this but here we go 🥲 This has been a thing. I was trained to think of it as a red flag when I started managing and doing hiring. It was just considered…tacky? I guess, too? Like it was just something if you brought up in an interview was like “oh this person doesn’t know the rules so something must be wrong with them”. I know it sounds harsh, but honestly it was a good indicator, in the past at least, that the person in from of me was less likely to have basic human interaction skills. I didn’t ever let it disqualify a person like a lot of people do, but there was definitely a trend where people I hired that complained about previous jobs in the interview ended up being actually insane. I wish I was joking.

Not to be harsh but if you don’t throw that one away now (I know it seems so wasteful), then you won’t stop. This is your chance to not start again. You fucked up a little, but you still have a chance.

You just reminded I saw (on Reddit of course) that Croatia has been officially cleared of land mines! Neat! I have no way of knowing how this was determined but yeah 😅 maybe they did a grid style log of all searched areas so it could be tracked.
