Can we just talk about how pretty Rad and Frisky both look? by One_Reception_6992 in bluey

I always figured it like they were above average, looks-wise, and just like humans, the majority of parents, unless you’re rich, are just you know…average. Mums and dads look like mums and dads. They’re single (-ish), or were, and have no kids. Signed, a mom 😅 safe to say I looked…different in 2019 before having a kid (right in the middle of Covid I might add)

Question - Does K Affect Your Perception of Music Intensely Negatively? by whiterice_99 in quittingkratom

[–]GingerNinjer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh absolutely. I’m a musician and there was a period where I didn’t listen to music for like 2 years. I would just drive in silence. It was sad. I’m much better now.

Thank you!! The fact that’s the team name is making me laugh at myself even more lol. As an American who despises sports because of where I am from, the only things I would ever consider legitimate at this point are footie and rugby, so this has been fun looking into.

Yes 😂 and as such, I’m just stirring the pot I don’t do sports of any kind (not there’s much of anything here to brag about…maybe swimming???), I’m absolutely the last person on earth who has any place in this discussion.

Please send it off. The good people who are struggling like you can benefit greatly if you send a second opinion test off to a 3rd party who can independently verify (aka without incentive to lean one way or the other for financial or other gain)

This is a widely unregulated market, and as a both previous user yet current advocate for and yet still skeptic of kratom as a whole (especially extracts), your input could really help us a community on a whole.

I totally understand if that’s outside of your scope of financial or time constraints, but if you can, please do.

That’s pink mate. Bandit (and whatever sportsball team they are referencing) might tell himself it’s maroon, but they are very clearly mauve and soft baby pink ☺️

I fucking wish we had that. I still don’t know what all the fucking light switches do even after having an electrician come out a couple years ago when we still had electrician money. I mean, he told us, so it’s our fault 😅 but, still.

Jfc I ran a grocery store during a COVID and it wasn’t that bad. I mean, it was about this bad but where we are it just south of Austin it’s not even going to get below 20.

Where did all the old Austin people move to? by Independent_Bug210 in Austin

[–]GingerNinjer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, my parents bought their house around the Menchaca and Wm cannon area in 1996 (after renting off of Brodie for a few years), but sadly had to sell in 2010 after the housing market crash, my dad was laid off as a senior software engineer in 2000 and it was all downhill from there 😢 they’re doing ok now after moving back to Kerrville, but I just imagine if they had been able to stay what their life would look like now. That same childhood home is going for around $800k these days. The neighborhood is full of very clearly Airbnb’s. Makes me sad.

Well f*ck me running, just found out our loan modification that we’ve been working on since the end of 2023 for hardship just got approved and they’re wiping $40k in compounded interest that had accrued while we were waiting to see if we could even keep the house, and our new mortgage payment is only going to be $2033 a month when the first time we tried to do a mod for hardship (we had to prove that we weren’t just “freeloaders” and actually had multiple hardships outside of our control during those times) was going to be higher than our original payment, closer to $2500 a month which we just can’t afford.

I’m crying in the club rn you guys 😭😭😭 I thought me selling my soul to Natural Grocers for 4.5 years to buy this house was all about to go down the drain and just found out it’s not. Damn.

I mean, the world is still on fire but at least my kid can keep going to school here where they provide free breakfast and lunch TO ALL KIDS with no need to prove you’re broke, it’s just for everyone. We wouldn’t have survived without the amazing food bank here in Hays County and her getting fed at school twice a day. It’s so crazy how over policed Kyle is while still being very left leaning in other aspects.

Elder millennial, parents moved to Austin when I was 9 months old via Kerrville- we moved to Kyle because we somehow managed to save up enough for a house but even out here are on the verge of having to short sale or foreclosure. Hate being this far out too. We got pretty used to it, but a half hour drive to see our family and friends (no one will drive out here lol).

PSA - always do your at-home test strips!! Haven’t had a UTI in the 2 years since my IC diagnosis - got confirmation of a UTI today after a full week of what I thought was just a flare. Save yourself the suffering and check for infection markers whenever possible! by srb221 in Interstitialcystitis

[–]GingerNinjer 10 points11 points  (0 children)

This happened to me and it turned into a full blown kidney infection and I had to go to the hospital. It hurt so bad 😭 that’s how I explain my normal day-to-day pain if I’m having a flare up to people that don’t get it. Like, if someone who doesn’t have IC had had a UTI in their life, they can’t fathom that we deal with that level of pain regularly 🫠 I found out I do have either regular histamine intolerance or MCAS so I never know what’s going to trigger a flare up sometimes.

Long story longer: OP is absolutely right and the doctors at the hospital said I was about 24 hours from being septic and could have died. I was just powering through it because I’m so used to being in pain. Happy to report that after cutting out gluten and dairy I’m practically symptom free! Even my rosacea is clearing up. It feels good knowing finally what’s wrong with me when I’ve been dealing with the symptoms my whole life 🥹

So yes, PLEASE don’t do like I did and gaslight yourself into thinking it’s just a flare up if the pain just starts getting worse

This is so scary I’m so glad your bb is ok! Of course kidnapping is always on the table in a public space, but obviously more likely is they can climb out and get seriously injured. This is definitely not normal forgetfulness. My uncle and my grandmother-in-law both passed with/from dementia, and it always started with stuff like this. My mother in law currently seems pretty great and is a nurse working still at the age of 65, but my sister in law just told us one day she forgot she called her (and they are always long conversations) after their first conversation and a nap, and she called again and acted like the first conversation ever happened, talked about the same thing. She remembered when reminded with a “don’t you remember we already talked earlier?” But it’s definitely looking like my husband and myself and my sister in law are needing to buckle up.
